PRESS RELEASE – April 8, 2019 Susan Carrier (951) 551-5363 [email protected] ELVIS TRIBUTE AT HHT FEATURES HEMET RESIDENT On Friday April 12th, the Historic Hemet Theatre hosted a Tribute to Elvis Presley featuring local resident Danny Lee. Danny recently moved to Hemet from Texas, bringing with him a passion for "the King of Rock 'n Roll." For many years, Danny has performed as Elvis, mimicking that signature voice and iconic look. Just as Elvis was famous for attracting a crowd of women, last weekend's show attracted a flock of swooning ladies to the foot of the stage. Several fans were rewarded with a neck scarf and a kiss on the check from Danny as he sang the classics from decades of Elvis hits. Across the auditorium, cell phones lit up as they captured images and video of the show. Next up on the HHT calendar is a Tribute to The Doors on Saturday April 27th, featuring STRANGE DAYS. The group has performed here twice, drawing crowds of fans to relive the 1960's when in the span of just 5 years, Jim Morrison and The Doors changes the course of rock music forever. Jason Tosta performs an amazing recreation of Jim Morrison, singing, shouting, jumping and throwing himself to the floor while performing songs such as "Back Door Man," "Light My Fire," "Hello, I Love You," and "Riders on the Storm." The Tribute to the Doors is expected to sell out, but tickets are still available. The show is the final event in Season One of the Tribute Mania Concert Series. Season Two begins next month with tributes to Bon Jovi (5/11), The Allman Brothers (5/25), Bob Seger (6/8), Santana (6/22), Led Zeppelin (7/6), Aerosmith (7/20), REO Speedwagon (8/3), and Tom Petty (8/17). Upcoming concerts in the Friday Nite Live series include tributes to Creedence Clearwater Revival (5/31), and Johnny Cash (6/14). Tickets for Tribute Mania and Friday Nite Live shows are $22 presale / $25 day of show. Showtime is 7:00 pm, with doors open at 6:15 pm.
