The survey form lists 7 categories—response to problems, spares availability, cost of parts, speed in Job titles of survey AOG service, tech manuals, tech reps and service satisfaction. respondents During July 2015 a target mailing of 8700 survey forms was sent out to a random selec- tion of turbine operators from the Pro Pilot subscription list. A total of 1210 survey forms, representing a 14% return, came back to Pro Pilot by the Sep 21, 2015 cutoff date. A to- 40 tal of 842 survey forms were properly filled out and therefore accepted. These forms pro- 85 vided 1056 line evaluations to be used in the survey. There were 368 disqualified forms due to lack of information, inconsistencies, significant errors, duplication or lateness. Pro Pilot survey rules required a minimum of 50 evaluations to rank in the overall 2015 ranking. A total of 6 manufacturers met the criteria and therefore were rated in the sur- 388 vey—GE, Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), Rolls-Royce, Turbomeca and 329 Williams. Other turbine engine manufacturers that didn’t receive enough evaluations were CFE (14 evaluations) and CFM (9). AlliedSignal, Garrett and Lycoming were rated under Honeywell. Allison and BMW-RR were scored under Rolls-Royce. For the 5th year Pro Pilot has had separate scores for jet, turboprop and helicopter engine manufacturers. The minimum requirement for these divisions for the 2015 survey was 30 evaluations for inclusion.
