Classificado como um artista “mainstream interseccional”, assim proposto pelos autores, Plant personifica a autenticidade do rock ao mesmo tempo em que sustenta a tradição dos seus tempos como vocalista do extinto grupoLed Zeppelin e ao buscar uma autonomia criativa em cada trabalho. Não obstante, está imerso aos ditames mercadológicos que envolvem o cenário musical. Para discutir essas questões, adotamos como corpus analítico os dez trabalhos solo do músico, os quais englobam um período que tem início em 1982, com Pictures at eleven, e vai até a sua última produção, Lullaby and...The ceaseless roar, lançado em 2014.
