Each year, we accomplish this goal by maintaining and improving the quality of our facilities and ensuring the highest levels of safety for our 55 parks, community centers and other recreational facilities across the city. We also strive to go beyond sporting and recreational events to develop educational programs for our youth. Our After School, Spring Break and Summer Youth Enhancement programs were designed to stimulate the motor, social and academic skills of young individuals. Whether through our Harvey Johnson, Jr., Mayor academic programs, holiday festivals or sporting events, the City of Jackson, Mississippi city of Jackson continues to attract thousands of citizens and welcomed guests through an array of programs the entire family can enjoy.
