Libro P Partite Insights Giornata Matchday 5 Serie A TIM 2020-21 23 - 26 October 2020 23/10/2020 20:45 - MAPEI STADIUM SASSUOLO Vs TORINO Torino have won six of their 14 Serie A TIM matches against Sassuolo (D5 L3), however the Granata lost the most recent fixture against the Neroverdi (1-2 in January 2020). 71% of Serie A TIM matches between Sassuolo and Torino at Mapei Stadium ended in a draw (5/7), against no other side Sassuolo have drawn more home matches in the Italian top-flight, alongside Cagliari. 10 points after four games marks Sassuolo’s best start to a Serie A TIM campaign; since 2016/17 each of the eight teams that picked up 10+ points at this stage of the season ended in the top five. Sassuolo could become the fourth team to score 4+ goals in at least four Serie A TIM matches in a row, after Inter in 1930, Torino in 1947 and Juventus in 1950. Torino are pointless after three Serie A TIM games for the first time since their 2002/03 relegation campaign. The last time they conceded eight goals at this stage of the season was back in 1940/41. Prior to Sassuolo this season, the only previous Emilian team to score 13 goals in the first four seasonal Serie A TIM matches was Bologna in 1930/31. Sassuolo have gained the most points from losing positions in Serie A TIM this season (4), while Torino have dropped the most from winning positions so far this term (6). Sassuolo’s Francesco Caputo has been involved in six goals in the current Serie A TIM campaign (four goals and two assists), a joint-record alongside Alejandro Gómez. Sassuolo are Andrea Belotti’s favorite opponent in Serie A TIM, netting eight goals in 11 matches against them. The Torino striker has netted four goals in his first three seasonal Serie A TIM matches for the second time, after 2016/17. 24/10/2020 15:00 - GEWISS STADIUM ATALANTA Vs SAMPDORIA Atalanta are unbeaten in their last three Serie A TIM matches against Sampdoria (W2 D1). The last time they had a longer streak without defeat against the Blucerchiati was back in December 1992. Atalanta haven’t conceded in their two most recent matches against Sampdoria in Serie A TIM: only in 1969 have they kept at least three clean sheets in a row against the Blucerchiati in the Italian top-flight (four in that case). The last time Atalanta and Sampdoria drew a Serie A TIM match in Bergamo was back in March 2013 (0-0) - since then four Lombard and three Ligurian successes. After losing 1-4 against Napoli in the last match, Atalanta could lose consecutive Serie A TIM games for the first time since February 2019. After a 3-0 win against Lazio, Sampdoria could keep two clean sheets in a row in Serie A TIM for the first time since November 2019 - in that case the second match was a 0-0 against Atalanta. Atalanta have drawn only one of their last 18 Serie A TIM home games, 2-2 against Genoa (W13 L4). Only Bayern München games (6.3) have produced more goals on average than Atalanta's (5.8) in the top five European leagues this season - the Dea have scored the most goals in Serie A TIM 2020/21 (14), twice as many as opponents Sampdoria. Luis Muriel scored 21 goals in 79 appearances in Serie A TIM for Sampdoria – Atalanta’s striker has scored four goals in four matches against the Blucerchiati, his best average against sides faced more than twice in the competition. Atalanta’s Sam Lammers could become the first Dutch player to score at least three goals in his team's first five games in a Serie A TIM season since Ruud Gullit in 1994/95, with AC Milan. Only against Fiorentina (12) has Fabio Quagliarella scored more goals in Serie A TIM than against Atalanta (11) – the Sampdoria striker (167 goals) is close to equaling Giuseppe Savoldi (168) as the 15th all-time best scorer in Serie A TIM. 24/10/2020 18:00 - LUIGI FERRARIS GENOA Vs INTER Inter have won their last four Serie A TIM meetings against Genoa by an overall score of 16-0: only once in their Serie A TIM history have the Nerazzurri have gained five wins in a row while keeping five clean sheets against a single opponent (against Atalanta between 1951 and 1953). None of the last 14 Serie A TIM games between Genoa and Inter have ended as a draw, with the Nerazzuri winning nine to Genoa’s five since a 0-0 draw in May 2013. In 11 of the last 12 Serie A TIM meetings between Genoa and Inter at Ferraris, at least one of the two teams has failed to score: the only exception was the Rossoblù’s 3-2 win in May 2015. Inter have scored at least 11 goals in their first four Serie A TIM games for the first time since 2013/14. However, the Nerazzurri have conceded eight goals at this stage for the first time since 2011/12. Genoa have not scored in their last two league games, last going three Serie A TIM games without a goal in March 2019 under Cesare Prandelli. Including the game played at the beginning of August, Genoa have won their last two Serie A TIM home games (7-1 overall) – the last time they reached three consecutive Serie A TIM home wins was in September 2018. In the last game against Verona, Mattia Perin became the first Genoa goalkeeper to make 10 saves in a single Serie A TIM game since Alessio Scarpi, in 2009 against Lecce - the next will be the 50th clean sheet for him with Genoa in the Italian top flight. Inter’s Alexis Sánchez has found the net in his last two league games against Genoa: in his Serie A TIM career he has never scored in three consecutive games against a single opponent. Among the teams he’s faced more than once, Genoa is the one against which Romelu Lukaku has the best goal average in the league between Serie A TIM and Premier League (four goals in two games) – the Rossoblù are his best victim in the Italian top flight. 24/10/2020 20:45 - OLIMPICO LAZIO Vs BOLOGNA In 132 Serie A TIM meetings, Bologna have beaten Lazio 44 times (D37 L51): only against Roma have they won more in the top-flight (50). Bologna have not won against Lazio in their last 14 meetings (D7 L7): the last win was 3-1 at the Olimpico in March 2012. Bologna have only won one of their last 19 Serie A TIM away games against Lazio (D6 L12). Lazio have collected four points or fewer in their first four Serie A TIM games of the season for the first time since 2014/15, when Stefano Pioli was the manager. However, in that season the Biancocelesti won each of the following four matches. Bologna have lost all their last five Serie A TIM away games (without scoring in the last four): the last time the Rossoblù recorded six consecutive away defeats in the competition was back in November 2012. Bologna have conceded at least once in each of their last 37 Serie A TIM games. If they fail to keep a clean sheet here, they would equal the fourth longest streak in the history of the top five European leagues. Sinisa Mihajlovic will meet Lazio, the team with which he made 126 appearances as a player in Serie A TIM – Lazio are the team the current Bologna coach has scored the most goals in the Italian top flight for (20). Lazio’s Ciro Immobile has been involved in four goals in his last three Serie A TIM games against Bologna (two goals and two assists). Bologna midfielder Roberto Soriano has already been involved in five Serie A TIM goals this season (3 goals, 2 assists). However, none of those have come away from Dall'Ara. Only against Parma (11) has Rodrigo Palacio scored more goals than he has against Lazio (eight) in Serie A TIM. However, the Bologna striker has only scored one goal in his last nine games against the Biancocelesti in the competition. 25/10/2020 12:30 - SARDEGNA ARENA CAGLIARI Vs CROTONE Cagliari are unbeaten against Crotone in Serie A TIM, thanks to three wins followed by a 1-1 draw in January 2018. The last time Cagliari won against a newly promoted team in Serie A TIM was back in April 2019 (1-0 v Frosinone) - since then four draws and two defeats for the Sardinians. Cagliari are looking to avoid not scoring in both their first two home Serie A TIM games in a season for the first time since 1995/96, under Giovanni Trapattoni. Crotone could gain more than one point in their first five seasonal league matches for the first time in their Serie A TIM history. Only Benevento (12) have conceded more goals in the current Serie A TIM campaign than Crotone (11) and Cagliari (10). Cagliari’s manager Eusebio Di Francesco could win two consecutive Serie A TIM matches for the first time since February 2019 – he’s never done so with Sampdoria or Cagliari. Cagliari’s João Pedro has scored three goals in his last three Serie A TIM matches against newly promoted sides. João Pedro (44 goals) is close to equaling Luis Oliveira (45) as the second highest scorer in Cagliari's Serie A TIM history (behind Luigi Riva, 156).

Juve and Ronaldo had other ideas, however, the former Real Madrid forward turning the tables with a second-leg hat-trick in Turin to ensure it was the Bianconeri that progressed. • This is Atlético's seventh successive season in the UEFA Champions League; for Juventus, this is an eighth group campaign in a row. Previous meetings • Before last season, the sides were paired together in the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League group stage, when an Arda Turan goal gave Atlético a 1-0 win at their former home, the Vicente Calderón. Koke and Saúl Ñíguez were in the Atlético side, with Jan Oblak and Giménez unused replacements; Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini – who is not in this season's UEFA Champions League squad – and Leonardo Bonucci played for Juventus.
