Synchrony offers the following types of Promotional Financing Three Parts of an Offer DI: Deferred (promo terms expire at end of promo period)

Digital Ads: General Guidance General Guidance If promotional financing or any other offer associated with a specific Synchrony credit card is being advertised on a retailer’s website, then the consumer should be able to take advantage of the offer online or it should be clear that is not the case. Common Marketing Trigger Term Requirements Offer Language Requests Additional Disclosures: UDAAP If an ad includes a trigger term, then the following additional information is required to be clearly and conspicuously disclosed: • Any minimum, fixed, transaction or similar charge that is a finance charge Regulation Z • Any APR that may be applied. If the APR is variable, that fact shall be disclosed • Any membership or participation fee Trigger Terms “Clear and conspicuous” for trigger term disclosures means they are provided in a reasonably understandable form. Regulation Z does not require any specific Deferred Interest placement or type size for this specific disclosure, but please see general disclosure instructions. For disclosures provided orally, this standard requires they be given at a Monthly Payment speed and volume sufficient for a consumer to hear and comprehend them. Ad Regulatory Overview A Radio or TV Ad, may comply with these disclosure requirements by stating the APR information and listing a toll-free telephone number along with a reference that such number may be used to obtain the additional cost information such as “call 1-(800) 000-0000 for details about credit costs and terms.”

Common Marketing Deferred Interest Headline Requirements: Offer Language Requests • The Deferred Interest Period must be stated in a clear and conspicuous manner in the advertisement.

UDAAP • If “No Interest” (or similar phrase) is used, the phrase “if paid in full” must be stated in a clear and conspicuous manner before the Deferred Interest Period. For written or digital ads, this means equal prominence, where same type size is deemed to be Regulation Z equally prominent.

Interest is the cost of borrowing money. Glossary Introductory Rate or Fee means a promotional rate or fee offered in connection with the opening of an account. Approved Headlines Inspiration Promotional fee means a fee required to be disclosed in a credit card account opening table, which for a specified period of time is lower than the fee that will be in effect at the end of that period for such transactions.
