Trailing 73-53 with 11:30 to play in the second half, Bloomsburg went on a furious 27-7 run over the next 10 BLOOMSBURG HUSKIES minutes to draw to an improbable 80-80 tie with the Mountaineers with just 1:03 remaining. 2018-19 Record: 5-12, 2-10 PSAC East However, Mansfield scored the final eight points of the game to pick up its first conference win of the season. Travis Elmore finished with a career-high 25 points, on 11-of-15 from the floor, Head Coach: John Sanow and 10 rebounds. Sekou Fofana was equally as impressive as he posted a career-high 23 points and six rebounds. Nicholas King and Peyton Mortellite added 11 points apiece. Career Record at BU: 153-187 (13th Season) • Bloomsburg features a pair of talented freshmen this season in Elmore and Fofana. Elmore is second on the team in scoring (15.1 ppg) and is fourth in the PSAC in field goal percentage SHIPPENSBURG RAIDERS (55.4%). He also leads the team - tied for ninth in the PSAC - in rebounding (7.7). Elmore 2018-19 Record: 15-5, 9-3 PSAC East reached double figures in scoring in his first 13 games this season and in 15 of his first 17 collegiate contests. Fofana, meanwhile, has been seeing more playing time as of late and Head Coach: Chris Fite earned his second collegiate start - while playing all 40 minutes - on Saturday. Fofana posts 9.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game - in just an average of 18.1 minutes - and has reached Career Record at SHIP: 103-63 (6th Season) double figures in scoring in eight of his last 11 games. Those figures translate to 20.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per 40 minutes. GAME 18 • WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2019 • 8:00 PM • SHIPPENSBURG, PA • Sam Saxton averages 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game which are both career highs. He is also second on the team with 40 assists. King has rebounded from a slump to reach double 2018-19 BLOOMSBURG SCHEDULE figures in each of his last three games. The sophomore averaged 8.3 points over his first six games but then posted just 23 total points over the next eight contests. Shooting and turnovers have been an issue for Bloomsburg this season as it ranks 16th 12/1 vs. GANNON* W 66-62 in turnover margin (-4.4), 13th in field goal percentage (43.1%), and last in the PSAC in both 12/2 vs. EDINBORO* L 94-97 (OT) three-point percentage (28.4%) and free throw percentage (62.5%). Bloomsburg’s rebounding is 11th in the league at +1.2. 12/8 at Mercyhurst* L 47-95 12/18 at California (Pa.)* L 70-102 • Bloomsburg has made at least one three-pointer in 225 consecutive games. However, the Raiders Founded 1839 have won six straight, and seven of the last eight, against the Huskies.
