New Business: CNC needs to get more volunteers for the 2019 NCA National Specialty. How can the club do this? Wait until after the Specialty meeting.

CNR was discussed. They are getting ready to have elections. All members of CNC are members of CNR. Their meetings are open to all CNC members, but the meeting are not publicized. CNR has four board meetings a year. CNC would like a monthly report from CNR.

We would like to know what dogs are in and out of rescue, and to see a copy of the minutes of any meet- ing (to include a Treasurer’s report). We have not seen a Treasurer’s report from CNR for over one year. CB will send a letter to CNR. First, he will send it to our board and needs input from everyone. CNC and CNR should be working closely together. According to the CNR By-laws, two representatives from the CNC board should attend their meetings. One mem- ber of the CNR board should attend the CNC board meetings. This has slipped by this past year; with the upcoming elections, we should start again.

National Specialty trophies: National trophy sponsor- ship is open to regional clubs before the general mem- bership. CNC has always sponsored two trophies. KP made a motion to support two classes at the 2019 National Specialty. The cost will be about $150. PK seconded the motion. No objections. Motion passed.

25 26 27 Donations Needed for Brown Bag Auction in Williamsburg We are now one month away from the Williamsburg Parade and Annual Meeting/Awards Luncheon and Brown Bag Raffle. It’s time to dust off those raffle items and let someone know what you have to offer. This raffle will benefit Colonial Newfoundland Rescue. Raffle items do not have to be Newf specific so anything you feel another member may be interested in “winning” is welcome. Also welcome are gift cards that can either be included in a brown bag “grouping” or used to pick up items for the raffle. If you have items you will be bringing with you to the meeting, please let me know so I can be prepared for the number of donations coming.

Have something to donate but aren’t planning to attend this year? We have that covered. You can either mail it to me (address below) or we have members willing to meet you/drop off locations in Virginia (Amissville, Ashburn, Centreville, Richmond and the Hampton Roads area) and Maryland in Annapolis area. To arrange for a drop off location near any of these areas please message Colonial Newf Rescue at [email protected] .

We want this year to be a great Brown Bag Raffle and your help is needed with donations. If you are attending the Meeting/Awards please bring your items and your money to purchase tickets. Be sure to RSVP on the Parade and Meeting emails so Julia and Mandy know the number of people to expect.
