(Covid-19) Has Resulted in Multiple Cancellations and Affected Itineraries for Ocean and River Cruise Operators As of: 29 February, 2020 (Subject to changes / updates) The outbreak of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) has resulted in multiple cancellations and affected itineraries for ocean and river cruise operators. Overview Many lines, including Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Cunard, Seabourn and MSC Cruises, have cancelled port calls in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Two cruise ships, Diamond Princess1 and World Dream2, have spent days in quarantine off the coasts of Japan and Hong Kong. Cruise lines have released new guidelines on boarding restrictions and screening requirements, and some have also banned anyone who holds a passport from China, Hong Kong or Macau, as well as passengers who have visited mainland China, including Hong Kong and Macau, within 30 days prior. Viking has also cancelled its China river cruises through to June 2020 and Norwegian Cruise Line has cancelled Norwegian Spirit's visits to Asian ports until December 2020. More cancellations are outlined below. 1. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22377-diamond-princess-held-in- quarantine-in-japan.html 2. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/22386-world-dream-turned-away-from- taiwan-due-to-coronavirus-concern.html Document prepared by A.L. The ship reported several persons on board having respiratory problems, and the Department of Health found number of sick people to be unusually high, to grant free practice. There’s no mentioning of coronavirus and understood, there’s no suspicion of coronavirus infection, or any data to validate virus fears, but still… The ship approached Castries at around 0530 LT Feb 1(UTC -4), reduced speed, sailed in northern direction, turned back and approached Castries again at around 1400 LT, and again, moved away, drifting or moving at slow speed. As of 0300 UTC Feb 2 (Feb 1 2300 LT), the ship was moving north at slow speed, probably waiting out, to fit into the broken itinerary. Next port of call is Roseau, Dominica, ETA Feb 2. This includes cruises departing February 15 and 29, March 14 and 28, April 10 and 21 and May 10. The ship will reposition to the U.S. West Coast earlier than originally planned and offer a series of three, four and five-night Pacific Coastal sailings. March through mid-April, the ship will be hosting a number of "Cruising for Heroes" sailings in support of California's firefighters, first responders and veterans. Later in April, the ship will sail roundtrip from Seattle prior to the start of its 2020 Alaska season from Vancouver. In addition, the line has changed its series of Dubai-to-Singapore and back sailings on Celebrity Constellation that were scheduled for February and March. It’s the real Greek experience by Celestyal Cruises. Don’t Resist! MARCH - NOVEMBER 2015 Say “Kalimera!” to the Real Greek Experience! Our cruises are a promise. We promise to take you to the places you’ve dreamt of, iconic harbors and idyllic islands where you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back into a bygone Greece. We promise to spoil you with our legendary hospitality and our stellar Greek food and wines, to give you the best of Greece with spectacular excursions and special themed events. In 2015 Louis Cruises gives a name to this promise when we launch Celestyal Cruises. “Celestyal” means “of the stars,” “heav- enly” and “divine” – it defines the authentic Greek experience we provide. “Celestyal” honors the Ancient Greeks, one of the first civilizations to use celestial navigation, as does our new logo, which combines two iconic, eternal Greek images: the spiral, taken from seashells, which adorns many of our ancient columns, and the windmills of the Aegean – both have inspired Greeks for millennia. The Celestyal logo evokes the sea, the sun and the wind. It reaffirms our commitment to our Hellenic roots, and to supporting the economy and preserving the environment of each destination we visit. “Kalimera!” doesn’t just mean “good morning,” it means “good” in every sense of the word: quality, satisfaction, happiness…at Celestyal, we live by it. This is why each of our cozy ships feels like a floating hotel where the entire staff knows you by name, where you travel from one incredible experience to the next: a lavish Greek meal, a traditional Greek coffee, a local wine, a special themed event that brings you to the heart of ancient and modern Hellenic culture…and our incredible destinations, of course.

  • AIDA Cruises Will Resume Cruise Operations with Fall and Winter Voyages
AIDA Cruises Will Resume Cruise Operations with Fall and Winter Voyages Germany's leading cruise line will begin Canary Island cruises in November, Western Mediterranean and Orient cruises in mid-December and extends pause until November ROSTOCK, Germany, Aug. 28, 2020 -- AIDA Cruises, the leading cruise line in Germany and a part of Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), today announced that it will offer cruises this fall and winter that combine the fascination of a cruise trip with an unforgettable holiday experience to several popular destinations. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conditions are currently not in place in Germany's neighbouring European countries, especially in the north with Norway and Denmark or the Baltic states. For many distant destinations outside of Europe, the Federal Republic of Germany has issued a travel warning or the respective countries have prohibited calls of cruise ships until 2021. As a result, the company has cancelled its previously announced cruises for September and has updated its fall and winter 2020-2021 program to provide its guests and sales partners additional time to plan and book vacations for a safe and enjoyable return to cruise holidays. As the first ship from the AIDA fleet to begin sailing, AIDAmar will set course on Nov. 1, 2020, for seven-day voyages to the Canary Islands, a popular destination with German vacationers. AIDAperla will follow on Nov. 7, 2020, and will take over the travel program originally planned for AIDAnova. AIDAmar's voyages will start and end in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. For voyages with AIDAperla, in addition to Las Palmas, AIDA Cruises will offer a second departure port with Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
