Music Review:

Eminem spent the early parts of his life in St. Joseph, MO, and he later moved to . In his teen years he became interested in rap music. After a few years of dreaming of becoming a rapper, he made his debut with the single “Infinite” and a little later “Slim Shady”. In 1999 he released his first The Slim Shady LP . It was said that this album was an autobiography, but he says, “It’s just me playin as a character named Slim Shady”. The following year he released The Marshall Mathers LP . This album was also thought of to be a resemblance of his real life, because he had several songs about his mom and his ex wife Kim. He said this album was made just for entertainment and that he does not care what anyone thinks of it.

After the release of The Marshall Mathers LP , Eminem stopped for two years to keep the media out of his personal life, but it didn’t them. They still found ways to dig up things that were going on in Eminem’s personal life. They were still on his back about what was going on with him and his mom and also with his wife. The media released that his mom had sued him and he had gotten a divorce from his wife. As a result of his confrontations with his mom she later released an album about him and how she felt it was wrong how he talked about her in his songs. These confrontations did not completely stop his success. He later came back out with a successful group called . He also still did underground music.

Eminem is also starring in an upcoming movie called 8mile about a girl named Alex and a boy named Jimmy (Eminem) who lives on the wrong side of town. Jimmy thinks he will be killed by this 8mile but he decides to focus on the inside of himself in which he finds himself loving music and decides to use it to his advantage. This movie will be released on November 8.

Everyone thought he would tone down his harsh lyrics because of all the trouble that was stirred up form the Marshall Mathers LP , but he did just the opposite with The Eminem Show . In this album there is a song titled “White America” in which Eminem attacks the media, critics, and the industry. At the end of the song he says, “I’m just playin America, you know I love you”. He also has a song dedicated to his daughter titled “Haille”. This song is about how Eminem feels that the world would be nothing without his daughter. Then he turns around and has a song called “My Dad’s gone Crazy” about Eminem looking at things as if his daughter thinks he is crazy. This album debut at #1 on the billboard charts on its first week of being released and sold almost 300,000 copies its first day of release. Despite all the bootlegging of the CD the sales of this CD were still very successful. This CD is the most interesting of them all. I would
