Johnson was a member of the Squirrels starting 4/21 @ALT rotation for most of 2017 before he pulled a hamstring which required him to spend a month on the disabled list. Johnson 4/22 @ALT finished the year with a 4-6 record and a 4.48 ERA. Johnson made 15 starts and appeared in 21 games for the Squirrels last 4/23 @BOW season.
