This study deals with possible effects to the city Frankfurt am Main and its education facilities which could be triggered by BREXIT . Based on the current existence of education facilities – day nurseries and schools of all kinds – and population forecasts the need for these institutions are computed. Not only necessary measures are numerically mentioned but are suggested where to be localized and realized. These revealed and located required provisions result from an analysis of local conditions on the scale of districts. Much demographic and infrastructural statistical data flows into the analysis be- cause the planning of new education facilities depends on many location factors. Of course, possibili- ties the regional land-use plan are considered, form the legal frame and also have some influence on the analysis themselves. The research shows that Frankfurt is able to implement many of the actions to be taken shown in this research but most importantly the city has to take these steps now, if it wants to benefit from BREXIT in the long term.
