What’s Happening with the Wings?

The Wings, as they are affectionately known, are the 100, 200 and 300 buildings located in the middle of the campus. Currently these buildings house an array of ser- vices and programs for the college and district office. The 300 wing will be the first to be demolished but not until January of 2014. Why? Well, because of the fitness center being located in the 300 wing. The new PE building, slated to begin January 2013, must be completed first before we can proceed with demolishing the 300 wing. The 100 & 200 wing will remain in use until 2016 based on the implementa- tion of the 2025 Master Plan.

Lady’s Fast Pitch Softball

The Lady Jags Softball Season started a few weeks ago and the Lady Jags of San Jose are off to a great start in the conference. Last weekend we played Diablo Valley College and College of the Redwoods in a double header that culminated in two great wins for the Jags. The Lady Jags are led by longtime head coach Debbie Huntze- Rooney. The Jags led the conference last year with one of the highest overall GPA’s in the bay area. All home games are played in the softball com- plex across from the student center. Many home games that are played during the week are free to anyone who is able to attend. Many games start at 3 pm. Come out and cheer on our Lady Jags.
