JACK LEMMON HONORED IN SALUTE BY THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART

In a one-day marathon of five key films in his career/ will be honored by the Museum of Modern Art with SALUTE TO AN ACTOR: JACK LEMMON on January 19, 1981. The films cover a period of more than twenty-five years and show the range of Lemmon's talent as an accomplished and versatile actor in drama and comedy. Jack Lemmon has received numerous awards for his distin­ guished performances in television and theater, as well as an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in "Mr. Roberts" in 1955, another for Best Actor in "Save The Tiger" in 1973, and many international awards and nominations for his work in film. SALUTE TO AN ACTOR: JACK LEMMON is presented by the Depart­ ment of Film of MoMA. Screenings will be held in the Roy and Niuta Titus Auditorium. A schedule of the day's screenings is attached.
