The films cover a period of more than twenty-five years and show the range of Lemmon's talent as an accomplished and versatile actor in drama and comedy. Jack Lemmon has received numerous awards for his distin­ guished performances in television and theater, as well as an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in "Mr. Roberts" in 1955, another for Best Actor in "Save The Tiger" in 1973, and many international awards and nominations for his work in film.
