Teen Center Summer Reading Program 2018 Saturday, June 16 - Friday, August 10 This Summer you don’t have to ‘Come From Away’ to get to Broadway, because Broadway is coming to Port Jeff! Don’t ‘Throw Away Your Shot’ this Summer and don’t let yourself be ‘Les Miserables’ all summer, instead get ‘Wicked’ and ‘Seize the Day’ by joining the Summer Reading Program, Library: The Musical! Starting June 16 register online. For each book you read, you will receive a raffle ticket that you may submit into a box to win one of the fabulous prize packs available from the Teen Center. For every 10 books you have logged online, you will be eligible to select a paperback book that is yours to keep. (No boxed sets, full series, textbooks, sheet music, study guides or technical manuals.) The retail price of the book may not exceed $10, limit of 4 books prizes per person, prizes may not be combined for larger priced items. You must be entering grades 6 - 12 and have your own valid Teen Port Jefferson Free Library card to sign up for programs in the Teen Department or the Summer Reading Program. In addition, you must be registered for the Summer Reading Program to attend any of the programs held at the Teen Center during the summer. Beginning June 16, stop in and sign up for the summer reading program and receive a small goodie bag. Can’t make it to the library? Have no fear, sign up online and stop in anytime the Teen Center is open and pick up your goodie bag (whiles supplies last). The kalimba was the chosen instrument of traveling troubadours who would retell the history of their tribe in song.
