Beaujolais is one of the most well-known wines in the world but there are a lot of surprises hidden away in the picturesque vineyards, including a new wave of young winemakers, plus local cuisine served in old-fashioned bistros and beautiful scenery. This tour will take you through all the Beaujolais vineyards that stretch from Lyon to Macon. You will cycle through the countryside known as La Terre des Pierres Dorées, the land of the golden stones – which is absolutely breathtaking. It features intact medieval villages nestled amid rolling hills and imposing chateaus that hulk in the distance. The area has the reputation as ’s Tuscany.

Vaux en Beaujolais / Romaneche Thorins : 32 km The village of Vaux-en-Beaujolais emerges like a hamlet in a fairy tale – this picturesque stone town is perched on a rocky spur ensnared by a sea of vineyards. Today’s route will take you across the vineyards classified «appellations» of the Beaujolais Villages. Once you reached Romaneche Thorins you will be invited on a very informative tour at Hameau Duboeuf through a magic world dedicated to wine and the vine. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Itinerary Romaneche Thorins / Macon: 32 km Day through the Beaujolais valleys: Saint Amour Bellevue – Solutre Puilly – Macon. You way will continue through the Day 1 vineyards of the most well-known wine appellations, such as: Moulin a Vent, Chenas, Fleurie, Julienas, Arrival in Lyon Afternoon arrival in Lyon. A taxi Saint Amour. Before the arrival in Macon, you will transfer to your hotel near Asne.
