Niranjan Bardhan, Rev. Dennis Spadigam, Dr. Jayakar Ellis, Pastor Uttam Dey, Mr Caleb Ellis, Mr. Augustine Louis, Mr. Vikrant Bhandari, Mrs. Shirley Augustine, Mr. Joceyln Pereira, Mr. Sebi Sebastian & Mr. Vernon 1. The Executive body meeting of the National Christian Council started with prayer and Word from Mr. Augustine Louis. 2. The committee welcomed Mr Joceyln Pereira, the newly appointed General Secretary for Goa, Mrs. Shirley Augustine – President Women Wing (National), Mr. Augustine Louis – Patron, National and Executive Board members of Goa – Mr. Sebi Sebastian and Mr. Bernon. The Board welcomed the presence of Mrs. Soma Dey and Mrs Arti Prasad. 3. The General Secretary, Dr Jayakar Ellis presented the minutes of the meeting held on 25/26.01.2013 at Navi Mumbai and Rev Dennis Spadigam moved the proposal to pass the minutes and Rev. Niranjan Bardhan seconded it. 4. It was proposed for a change in the Annual General Body Meeting to be held on 7th November 2013 & the AGM on 8th & 9th November 2013 at Hyderabad. The Board decided to have the Executive Board meeting on 15th November & the AGM on 16th & 17th November 2013 at Hyderabad. 5. The board discussed organizing a Children’s painting program nationwide on the theme “United to Serve” and have the grand finale on November 14th at Hyderabad as the same was celebrated as Children’s Day. 6. Rev Spadigam spoke about the upcoming elections in Kerala and other parts and asked for prayers. There was an example of the Prayer cards made by the Karnataka Prayer Cell and suggested of doing the same in all the states. Mr. Augustine reaffirmed the power of prayer. Dr Ellis suggested that Mr. Augustine along with Mr Amol Parage will work to form a strategy with regard to Prayer and enable each wing to incorporate it. It was suggested to start a prayer email that will be used to connect prayer warriors to pray for requests sent by NCC offices. 7. Caleb Ellis asked if 50 MPs and 200 MLAs are identified so they can be prayed upon. Mr. N. Nageswara Rao M. P. of Khamam Constituency in A.P. was met and also Dr. Sanjeev Naik of Thane so far and more being met soon. 8. Dr. Ellis spoke regarding the launch of the Goa Chapter of NCC and also shared of how the media had taken up the meeting. It was also heartening to know that a BJP Minister had come to launch the Goa Chapter. Mr. Pereira suggested to have an office in Goa for NCC so as to strengthen its work here in Goa. In the meantime he offered his house as the office for NCC. 9. Questions from the people regarding - when was NCC started: It was mentioned that it started in June 2011 and registered only in July 2012. So July 2012 will be our official start date. 10. Point 28 of previous meeting (As 2014 will be a year of election), It was suggested that we will be networking to work in 50 MPs and 200 MLAs Constituencies from all over India. The details of these constituencies would be needed to be sent to HO for proper compilation and networking. These will be on a multiparty basis as NCC is not a political forum but exists to promote democracy and the proper use of it. 11. Use of NCC email ids would be good to be used for all the NCC work by all office bearers. 12. Visiting cards, Brochure and Letter heads were redesigned and Caleb requested that it be designed and send the details. 13. Pr Dey suggested that as Core committee is already there, all materials to be published on behalf of NCC should be sent to them for approval. Also any program for NCC should also be sent to the CORE for immediate approval too. 14. With the amount of youth in Goa being addicted to so many vices, Mr. Pereira suggested a Youth Center (AASTHA) where there would be 24/7 helpline, drug & alcohol rehabilitation, counseling, etc. The budget for the same was to be clearly presented soon. The board wanted to begin the pilot project as soon as the funding is available and then God willing have such centers all over India. 15. There was review and update from various states namely Maharashtra, Odisha, AP, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand, North West India, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala. 16. Rev. Niranjan Bardhan spoke about NCC work happening and also the board applauded him for the hard work he did in finishing 90% of the filling of names in various districts of Odisha. 17. Mr. Vikrant Bhandari from Uttrakhand, said it is a Hindu pilgrim state. They have congress Govt. He said their motto was just like NCC (By Love Serve One another.) 92% of the state is hilly area, famous hill station Mussoorie. 13 districts in Uttrakhand, there are 2 regions and hoped to launch the NCC Uttrakhand Chapter by mid October 2013. 18. Dr Ellis updated the board on work being done by states who could not make it for the board meeting. He told that Rajasthan would have their launch God willing by May 29th 2013. 19. The board agreed to appoint Mr. Amit Kapoor as State General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. 20. A brief was presented to the board about on AP’s PST conference for 10th & 11 April 2013 in Vijayawada for prayers of the board members. In Andhra Pradesh the plan is to have a 1000 leaders for each district. Making it 23,000 leaders in the state that will be networked in the 23 districts. 21. The board decided to have the launch of Andhra Pradesh & West Bengal in the first week of July 2013 depending on the CORE Group deliberations. Rev. Niranjan Bardhan has confirmed the meeting in Odisha on the 11th and the 12th of July. If the meetings will be confirmed to Gopalpuram, nearest airports are either Visakhapatnam or Bubaneshwar and Train station is Behrampur. 22. Dr Ellis gave a report of his work as GS from 1st February till date. He said that he was able to connect to many State leaders and deliberate on how best we could work together to uplift the community. 23. The NCC membership will be allotted a number based on RTO system to distribute the geographical divisions of the members and for easier identification. 24. There was a discussion about the Christian Development Council of Karnataka which has sanctioned 50 crores though being a BJP government per year. Each NCC state leader to take up this as an example and ask its government to do the same. All documentation or web links pertaining to this is available on the NCC website (www.nationalcouncil.in). 25. Mr. Caleb Ellis, Mr. Vikrant and Mr. Pereira suggested a Youth Motor rally from Ladakh to Goa and the board approved the same in principle and the logistics and resource mobilisation and dates will be worked out soon. 26. Mobilizing of prayer for the nation. The Board suggested the State leaders make it a priority and work towards mobilizing much prayer for the nation. It was suggested to pray for the peace and righteousness of the country and against all the strongholds. Cold churches to be revive. 27. Rev Spadigam said that Kerala will launch in Mid June. The ground work is almost done. 28. The board decided to use multiple ways and tools for the empowerment of the leaders. Leadership Building is our focus in all spheres possible. 29. It was Proposed to have Don Moen Concert. 30. Rs. 10 donation drive. The board approved of the donation drive and asked the GS to go ahead with the designing and details of the same. There could be a lucky dip draw of the donation receipts. Like we could offer the winner a family a visit to Goa. The draw and the prizes distribution for the donation drive is yet to be decided and the board asked the CORE committee to go ahead and do the needful. 31. Mr. Pereira came up with ideas of starting small scale industries using NCC network for which Dr Ellis suggested to work together with Public Admin Sectors to enhance the relations. 32. Dr. Sam Paul suggested that we need to run the ideas by people with expertise in business 33. It is proposed to arrange a program with Sean (BURN Team) on may 10th to launch the chapter of Thane district and also invite the local MP. 34. The meeting ended with closing prayer by Bro. Vernon Notes taken by Mr. Caleb Ellis with inputs from several present.
