Welcome to the Auction! Make sure your name, address and telephone number appear on the top and bottom of your assigned bid card. The number on the bid card is your unique bid card number. Keep this card with you throughout the event. Even if you think you may not bid-keep your bid card, you may see something that changes your mind! All items are on display for viewing. Some items on the tables not listed in this pamphlet arrived after print time. Be sure to check out our Raffle located at the Tin Mountain membership table. See following page for details. Silent Auction Silent auction items have bid sheets on the tables. If you want to bid on a silent auction item, write your bid number and the amount of your bid on the corre- sponding bid sheet (names are not tallied, only your personal bid numbers). Closing of silent auction tables are announced. Live Auction Our live auction starts at 6:30 PM. It is a fun event enlivened by George Cleveland. If you want to bid on a live item hold up your card. To Collect Your Winning Bid At auction close, bring your bid number to the cash out table in the hall. Your purchases will be tallied and volunteers will be available to help gather your items. Adult Nature Course: Alpine Plant Communities Thu, March 29, 6pm – 9pm Colby-Sawyer professor Laura Alexander will provide an in depth overview of the major alpine plant communities. Pollinators of NH Tue, April 3, 7pm – 8pm What are ’s native pollinators and how can you make your backyard more attractive to them? Dr. Alan Eaton, Entomologist for NH Cooperative Extension, will provide an overview of the state’s primary pollinators and the current challenges they face. Adult Nature Course: Shrubs of New Hampshire Wed, April 4, 6:30pm – 8:30pm Dr. Michael Cline will discuss the ecology and identification of New Hampshire shrubs using his new guide book in this two-part nature course. Tin Mountain Annual Meeting Sat, May 19, at the Nature Learning Center Martha Pinello of Monadnock Archeological Consulting in Antrim, NH will be the speaker this year at Tin Mountain Conservation Center’s Annual Meeting on Sat, May 19th at the Center in Albany. Martha is Principal Investigator at Monadnock Archeological Consulting and has a Master’s Degree in anthropology and history from UMass-Boston and over three decades of experience working on historic sites throughout New England. She served for many years as Chief Archaeologist at the Strawberry Banke Museum in Portsmouth, NH, and has special expertise in paleoethnobotany and landscape archaeology. Martha will bring her skills to Bald Hill in Albany to speak about the early settlement in the Moulton-Allard neighborhood and visit a nearby few historic sites. Thank you for your support!
