Bharata Mata College is a co-educational institution owned and managed by the Archdiocese of - Angamaly and affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University. Situated at Thrikkakara, the college is an eloquent testimony to the lofty vision of its founder, His Eminence, the late Joseph Cardinal Parecattil. During the short span, the institution has emerged as one of the premier centres of higher learning, offering excellent education in various branches of study. Though situated in the close vicinity of the city of Kochi, the college is absolutely free of the din arid bustle of city life and enjoys a tranquil atmosphere conducive to serious academic pursuit.

We have a team of dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff. There are about 1300 students. There are five well-equipped convent hostels to satisfy the residential needs of the girls from faraway places. For boys hostel accommodation, they have to find their own. We have a well maintained canteen and the staff as well as the students can avail themselves of the canteen facility in the campus. However, catering to the needs of the rural community continues to be one of the avowed principles of the college. The institution is striving in its own moderate but resolute way to fulfill its motto, "For God and Country”.
