ANNUAL 2015 REPORT 2016 15/16 Highlights Board, Medical Resource Council and Staff Letter from the Chair Letter from Carol Lennon Financial Report Our Supporters 2015/2016 Highlights Clubhouse Statistics Family and Youth Programming • Total Active members: 1079 • Number of kids programs in the clubhouse: 19 Pittsburgh: 1024 • Camp Clubhouse: 1 week, 17 programs > Members with cancer: 528 • Boo Bash: 10 companies & organizations > Friend/Family members: 381 participated > Child member with cancer: 10 • CLIMB® at UPMC Passavant: > Child friend/family member: 117 6 weeks, 11 families Westmoreland: 55 • Provided individual support services to > Members with cancer: 40 18 family and youth members > Friend/Family members: 12 • Individual support to families: As needed > Child member with cancer: 0 • Visits to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh > Child friend/family member: 3 of UPMC: 73 Adult Programming Volunteers Pittsburgh: • Total number of volunteers: 261 • Number of support groups: 148 • Number of lectures: 29 • Number of social events: 53 • Number of workshops: 612 Westmoreland: • Number of support groups: 56 • Number of lectures: 12 • Number of social events: 33 • Number of workshops: 81 Living Life Post Cancer Treatment Program The Living Life Post Cancer Treatment Program was created by Our Clubhouse and received the Oncology Nursing Society Seal of Approval. This program supports adults who have completed cancer treatment within the last 2 years. The 9 week program helps bridge the gap between cancer treatment and life following cancer. This fiscal year the Living Life Post Cancer Treatment Program was presented 8 times in 7 different locations. The Program was offered at the following locations; Our Clubhouse Allegheny, Our Clubhouse Westmoreland, Jewish Community Center – South Hills, UPMC Passavant Hospital, Carnegie Library Brookline location, UPMC East and Forbes Hospital. Our Clubhouse collaborated with UPMC, AHN, Excela Health and St. Clair Hospital to offer the program in community settings. Our Clubhouse Westmoreland Our Clubhouse Westmoreland opened in September 2015. Membership and awareness continue to increase. Various programs have been offered to help support those living with and touched by cancer. Some of these programs are the Living with Cancer Support Group, Healthy Snacks Cooking Demonstration, Bereavement Support Group, Valentine’s Dinner Celebration, Master Gardening Lecture and Canvas Collage Art Workshop. Continued on page 3 2 2015/2016 Highlights Our Clubhouse Westmoreland continues to develop and expand community relationships within Westmoreland County. Excela Health, Arnold Palmer Pavilion, and The American Cancer Society work with Our Clubhouse to help spread awareness about the mission of the program and collabo- rate in offering their services when appropriate. This summer Our Clubhouse was asked by The Old Joe Club Charities to attend the Westmoreland Croquet Club Tournament as one of the 6 non-profit organizations. We had an opportunity to share our mission with over 2,000 people who attended the event. Our Clubhouse is a member of the Westmoreland County and Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Chamber of Commerce.
