The Scheme of Mining for the Plan period 2016 – 2021 approved by Dept. of Geology and Mining vide Lr.Rc.No.7004/MM2/2018 dated 14.09.2018. As a statutory obligation this project needs Environment Clearance from DEIAA/DEAC, Virudhunagar District as per MoEFCC Notification vide S.O 141 (E) dated 15.01.2016, as the project falls under B2 Category individual category <5 Ha and the proponent applied to DEIAA vide Online Proposal No: DIA/TN/MIN/19553/2018 dated 11.12.2018. But, In view of NGT Order dated 13.09.2018, the proponent applying for Environment Clearance to SEIAA/SEAC, Tamil Nadu.
