They were appreciably below normal over Vidarbha, below normal over Chhattisgarh and normal over Madhya Pradesh. Umaria recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.2 degree Celsius. Minimum Temperature No large change in minimum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. They were normal over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh . Sub-Surface water is one of the most valuable natural resources which supports human health and economic development. Groundwater resource assessment of a region involves a detailed study of the sub-surface water. The water quality guidelines provide a Limit Value for each parameter for drinking water. It is necessary that the quality of drinking water should be checked at regular time interval, because due to use of contaminated drinking water, human population suffers from varied of water borne diseases. Guidelines of different physic-chemical parameters also have been given for comparing the value of real water sample. There are some of parameter for drinking water quality parameter like world health organization (WHO) and Indian Standard IS 12500:2012,. The objectives of this study are to analyses the underground water quality of Ghot Village of Gadchiroli region by water quality index. Nearly ten physico-chemical parameters such as PH, Colour, Arsenic, Iron, Magnesium, Chloride, Total Hardness, Fluoride, Total Dissolved Solids, and Alkalinity collected different place like boar well, pond, River etc. In this study find out the range of water quality index so that treatment on water can be perform properly on respective drinking water source Keywords— ground water quality, Drinking Water, Arsenic Concentration, minerals in ground water INTRODUCTION: Vidarbha Region has always been known as the mineral rich region of Maharashtra.

    (Draft) DISTRICT SURVEY REPORT For SAND MINING INCLUDING OTHER MINOR MINERAL GADCHIROLI DISTRICT, MAHARASHTRA As per Notification No. S.O. 3611 (E) New Delhi, the 25th July, 2018 of Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India Prepared by: District Mining Officer March 2020 PREFACE Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 27th February, 2012 in I.A. No.12-13 of 2011 in Special Leave Petition (C) No.19628-19629 of 2009, in the matter of Deepak Kumar etc. Vs. State of Haryana and Others etc., prior environmental clearance has made mandatory for mining of minor minerals irrespective of the area of mining lease. Accordingly, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF & CC) had issued Office Memorandum No. LllOll/47/2011-IA.II(M) dated 18th May 2013. As per this O.M. all mining projects of minor minerals would henceforth require prior Environmental Clearance irrespective of the lease area. The stone quarry and sand quarrying projects need environmental clearance as per the MoEF guidelines and such pg. 47 projects are treated as Category ‘B' even if the lease area is less than 5 Ha. Subsequently, various amendments were made as regards to obtain environmental clearance of the minor minerals. The Hon'ble National Green Tribunal, vide its order dated the 13th January, 2015 in the matter regarding sand mining has directed for making a policy on environmental clearance for mining leases in cluster for minor minerals. As per the latest amendment S.O. 141 (E) & S.O.190(E) dated 15th January 2016 & 20th January in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of notification of Ministry of Environment and Forest number S.O.

At present, there are only 18 temples existing, out of them only 4 temples are in good condition. The main temple of Markanda was distracted by striking of Lightening 300 years before. Therefore, no one could tell how the main temple formerly was. Indian Archaeological Department first time had recorded this 120 years before in its survey.

    Understanding underdevelopment: Characterizing Regional development in Vidarbha With special focus on water use SJ Phaosalkar· Abstract: Vidarbha comprises of the eleven districts at the Eastern end ofMaharashtra state. The region is underdeveloped in absolute and relative sense. This has often led to a strongly held perception of deliberate state neglect in the minds ofpeople in Vidarbha. All attempt is made here to look at relative development of talukas within Vidarbha. We find that there is significant variation in per capita incomes across talukas in Vidarbha. This variation is associated with the differences in the nature and composition of t~e talukas, the crop mix obtaining in the talulm and most importantly on the extent of grollnd water use. Surface water use seems to have less influence on the income variations. While abundant unused ground water potential exists in some of the most backward talukas, their exploitation seems to be discouraged by a combination of both supply and demand factors. On ·the supply side, it is possible to argue that ground water exploitation is both uncertain and expensive. On the demand side, the associated factors are a weak demand for irrigation caused by a dominance of cotton cultivation that has been sustained all these years by artificial props ofthe monopoly cotton scheme, absence of understanding or skills for cultivation of alternate crops and possibly also a weak drive among the people. 10 Vnderstanding underdevelopment: Characterizing Regional development in Vidarbha With special focus on water use 1. However, information on stroke deaths in rural India is scarce. To measure the mortality burden of stroke, we conducted a community-based study in a rural area of Gadchiroli, one of the most backward districts of India. Methods—We prospectively collected information on all deaths from April 2011 to March 2013 and assigned causes of death using a well-validated verbal autopsy tool in a rural population of 94 154 individuals residing in 86 villages. Two trained physicians independently assigned the cause of death, and the disagreements were resolved by a third physician. Downloaded from Results—Of 1599 deaths during the study period, 229 (14.3%) deaths were caused by stroke. Stroke was the most frequent cause of death. For those who died because of stroke, the mean age was 67.47±11.8 years and 48.47% were women. Crude stroke mortality rate was 121.6 (95% confidence interval, 106.4–138.4), and age-standardized stroke mortality rate was 191.9 (95% confidence interval, 165.8–221.1) per 100 000 population. Of total stroke deaths, 87.3% stroke deaths occurred at home and 46.3% occurred within the first month from the onset of symptoms. http://stroke.ahajournals.org/ Conclusions—Stroke is the leading cause of death and accounted for 1 in 7 deaths in this rural community in Gadchiroli.
