    MEN’S PLAYER SELECTION REGULATIONS 2021 1. Introduction 1.1. These Men’s Player Selection Regulations (the “Regulations”) set out the procedure for the Player Selection and Registration Process for the Men’s Hundred. The ECB may amend the Regulations at any time on notice to interested parties (including TeamCos and Players). 1.2. The ECB shall be responsible for the enforcement of these Regulations, including any disputes relating to the same, save that the ECB may at its discretion appoint a Technical Committee to address such disputes. The Technical Committee’s decision in respect of any disputes shall be final. 1.3. By becoming Draft Registered (as defined in Regulation 3.1 and/or participating in the Player Draft), each interested party agrees to be bound by and comply with the Regulations. 2 Player Retention Process 2.1 During the Retention Window and subject to the requirements of this Regulation 2, TeamCos may offer any Player who they selected from the draft, or selected as a Replacement Player, in respect of the previous edition of The Hundred, a new Playing Contract at any Player Fee in respect of the following year of The Hundred, and require that Player to sign a new Men’s PSA. Each such Player, whether a Test Player or otherwise, upon signing the new Playing Contract and Men’s PSA (or, at the sole discretion of the ECB, upon the Player having accepted the offer of a Playing Contract) during the Retention Window, will be a “Retained Player”. Each Retained Player may only be retained for one edition of The Hundred at a time and not for any longer period.

    Nov 26, 2019 07:00 GMT Domestic Fixtures For 2020 Unveiled Fixtures for the County Championship, Royal London Cup, The Hundred and Vitality Blast have been announced • The County Championship season begins on Easter Sunday with Essex starting their title defence at home to Yorkshire on 19 April. • The opening 12 rounds of the County Championship to be played on at least one weekend day. • The first men’s The Hundred match will be played between Oval Invincibles and Welsh Fire at the Kia Oval on 17 July. Five days later Birmingham Phoenix host the first women’s match against Manchester Originals at Blackfinch New Road. • The Vitality Blast features more matches on Thursday and Friday nights, and on weekends, with a London derby to begin the competition on 28 May. • Somerset start their Royal London Cup title defence against Warwickshire on 20 July. The first round of the County Championship kicks off on Easter Sunday with Division Two champions Lancashire hosting Kent at Emirates Old Trafford. One of the other promoted sides Gloucestershire travel to Yorkshire while last year’s runners up Somerset welcome Warwickshire to The Cooper Associates County Ground. Nottinghamshire start life in Division Two at home to local rivals Leicestershire. Essex kick off the defence of their County Championship crown the following week as they host Yorkshire on 19 April. A West Country red-ball rivalry is reborn on 1 May as Gloucestershire play Somerset in the County Championship for the first time in 13 years. All the first 12 rounds of the County Championship take place on at least one weekend day.

Dec 12, 2019 10:00 GMT Somerset's Lauren Filer Signs For Welsh Fire Lauren Filer has been signed by Welsh Fire to play in The Hundred next summer. The 18-year-old Somerset seamer - who has today been awarded the the Harry Burden Bursary Award, an annual bursary to support a young player’s cricket - has been selected by Welsh Fire Head Coach Matthew Mott. Filer plays her club cricket for Weston-super-Mare, and earlier this summer she was part of the successful Somerset Women’s team who were crowned T20 Division Two champions. She was selected to represent the South West at the Regional Development Centre Festival in July, went on to participate in the School Games and most recently she has been selected for the England Women’s Academy Training Squad. Mott said: "It's fantastic to know we'll have young, local talent playing for Welsh Fire in The Hundred. "Competitions like The Hundred and the WBBL in Australia can be massively beneficial to young players. Lauren will learn a lot from working with the likes of Meg Lanning and Jess Jonassen and I look forward to getting to know her better and seeing what she has to offer with the ball in hand." Mott's team will play a double-header with the men's team at Sofia Gardens in Cardiff but will also play matches at the County Ground, Bristol, and at Filer's local county Somerset, at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton.

The Club The Club’s strategic aim is to be the best Cricket business in the world. This bold goal drives ambition in relation to performances of its teams on the pitch, delivery of major domestic and international matches, operation of a world class sports, conference and events venue and delivery of transformative community engagement programmes across the West Midlands region. Based in the UK’s second city, the Club is one of the largest and most successful County Cricket Clubs in England & Wales with an annual turnover of circa £25m. In the period since 2012, Warwickshire is the only Club to have won all three domestic trophies and has reached Finals Day of the T20 Competition in 2014, 2015 and 2017. In 2016 the Warwickshire Women’s squad was brought within the Club’s management structure and won the Vitality T20 competition for the first time in 2019.
