In effect, a cook-off within a cook-off! Beginning last year, Mr. Mehlhoff’s and Mr. Ruoss’s class joined forces for the chili cook-off because they are the two smallest classes in the 6th grade. Out of all the classes, the Mehlhoff/Ruoss team is the least threaten- ing, never getting first place. Every year, it seems to slip from their grasp. This year they hope to win first! But this year in the sixth grade, the stakes are high with Mrs. Welch’s class and Mrs. Gillespie’s class also looking for the win. This year, when choosing a chili for the Mehlhoff/Ruoss class entry, the students wanted to be as fair as possible. So the parents brought in several different chilis to try, March 28, 2018 at 6 PM. but didn’t reveal whose was whose.
