Dubbed “The Race of Legends”, Laguna Phuket Triathlon is Asia’s longest standing triathlon race featuring THE RACE OF LEGENDS a unique race distance of 1.8K swim, 50K bike and 12K run through spectacular tropical scenery of Asia’s 5 premier resort Laguna Phuket and local communities in the Northern part of Phuket Island. Over the past 23 years, the race has attracted thousands of age group athletes as well as triathlon legends; , , Craig Alexander, Paula Newby-Fraser, Jan Frodeno, Mirinda Carfare and , to name just a few. The first race in 1994, at the time a unique made-for-television sporting event to showcase the destination to the world, attracted 284 registered competitors and was timed manually with stop watches. Since then, the race has grown from strength to strength and is renowned for its challenging technical bike course, parties and exceptional hospitality. Comprising 5 KM and 10 KM distances, the Charity Fun Angsana Laguna Phuket Run will weave through the resort’s tropical parkland scenery and raise funds for LPT’s charity partner. The Laguna Phuket Triathlon, Asia’s longest running triathlon is known as the Race of Legends for all the

triathlon legends that have participated in the race over the years.
