WHAT TO WATCH FOR BUDDY’S HOT START: Buddy Robinson has been red-hot on the offensive end to start the year, entering tonight’s contest with a goal in five of Stockton’s six games played, with the Heat winning all five in which he scores and losing the lone contest in which he was held off the score sheet. The start is a complete 180 from a year ago, when Robinson did not light the lamp until the 18th game of the campaign. THE DUBE ABIDES: Dillon Dube has the hot helping hand right now for the Heat, riding a four-game point streak into tonight’s game. THE SEASON SERIES – The Heat lead the season series 1-0 after Stockton’s 5-4 OT victory over Colorado last night. The City of Stockton continues to be one of California’s fastest growing communities. Stockton is currently the 13th largest city in California with a dynamic, multi-ethnic and multi-cultural population of about 310,000. It is situated along the San Joaquin Delta waterway which connects to the San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. Stockton is located 60 miles east of the San Francisco Bay Area, 83 miles east of San Francisco, and 45 miles south of Sacramento, the capital of California. Stockton has an airport offering service to Phoenix and Las Vegas (on Allegiant Airlines). Visitors may also fly into Sacramento, Oakland or San Francisco.     OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER September 20, 2019 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: Alan Tandy, City Manager AT SUBJECT: General Information Notable Items Some great news when it comes to water conservation in the City! Bakersfield residents are still saving water, even after Gov. Jerry Brown in 2017 removed the conservation targets set by the Drought State of Emergency. The Water Resources Department reports that we have cut usage by almost 12% compared to 2013, the last year before the drought. That savings is also in spite of the City’s population growing by nearly 18,000 residents over that time. When taking the growth of the water system into account, water use this past August was cut by 15.31% per person per day compared to 2013. In addition to more conscious conservation efforts, we’ve been helped by 2019 being the 16th wettest years on record (since 1894), allowing residents to water their lawns less. The new roundabout traffic control at the intersection of Stockdale Highway and Enos Lane (right) is starting to take shape! The Thomas Roads Improvement Project reports that drainage work is complete and crews will start building the roadway section on the north side of the K-rail in the coming General Information September 20, 2019 Page 2 weeks. This phase of construction is expected to continue through the end of the year. The City’s “General Plan” is an important tool that guides the future development of the City and provides policies to ensure that the community develops strategically and in line with the City Council’s goals.

    OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER January 30, 2015 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council AT FROM: Alan Tandy, City Manager /al Subject: General Information Notable Items As we know, the drop in oil prices is being felt here in Kern County, big time. The County expects to lose $61 million in property tax revenue, prompting the Board of Supervisors to declare a fiscal emergency this week. Layoffs have already begun to occur, which will affect the local economy. History teaches us that prices will rise again, however, and we only hope that it happens soon. As previously reported, the Thomas Roads Improvement Program will host a community meeting for the 24th Street Improvement Project on February 4, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Rabobank Convention Center. This meeting will be held in an open house format, and the public is encouraged to attend at any time during the three-hour period and provide input. Exhibits will be set up in the Convention Center Lobby that will illustrate streetscape concepts, and options for hardscape and plant materials that are appropriate to the region’s climate and neighborhood character. City and Caltrans staff will be available to answer questions. Roland Genick, chief architect for Parsons Transportation Group, will provide a presentation in the Convention Center’s Potato Room at 5:00 p.m. that will focus on initial design concepts. The presentation will be repeated at 6:00 p.m. Free parking will be available in the lot south of (behind) the Convention Center. Bulletins Councilmember Weir hosted a community meeting this past week.
