Poems of Comfort When I Am Gone Love Lives On When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do, Those we love remain with us You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, for love itselflives on, Be thankful for our many beautiful years. And cherished memories never fade I gave to you my love, you can only guess Because a love one's gone ... How much you gave to me in happiness. Those we love can never be I thank you fo r the love you each have shown, But now it's time I travel on alone. more than a thought apart So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, For as long as there is memory, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. They'll live on in the heart. It is only for a time that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on, You Are Not Forgotten So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. You are not forgotten, loved one And if you listen with your heart you'll hear, Nor will you ever be, All my love around you soft and clear. As long as life and memory last And then, When you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile, and say ... We will remember thee. "Welcon1e Home" We miss you now, our hearts are sore As time goes by we'll miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face, To Laugh Often and Much No one can fill your vacant place. "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; At the Rising of the Sun to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; At the rising of the sun to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; and it's going down, to leave the world a bit better WE REMEMBER THEM. whether by healthy child, a garden patch, At the blowing of the wind or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier and in the chill of winter, because you have lived. WE REMEMBER THEM. This is to have succeeded" In the opening of the buds -Ralph Waldo Emerson. and in the rebirth of the spring, WE REMEMBER THEM. At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer, WE REMEMBER THEM. At the rustling of the leaves and the beauty of autumn, WE REMEMBER THEM. As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, As we remember them. 1 When I Must Leave You Fairways of Glory When I must leave you for a little while A dedication to the endless pursuit Please do not grieve and shed wild tears of the perfect game And hug your sorrow to you through the years Fond memories of the challenges But start out bravely with a gallant smile; Of the greens and trials of its traps And for my sake and in my name And now, the last putt has dropped into the cup of life live on and do all things the same; And the light of the day has faded Feed not your loneliness on empty days, Lord, it is now on your fairways of glory But fill each waking hour in useful ways, That the game will continue to be played. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near; Afterglow And never, never be afraid to die. I'd like the memory of me For I am waiting for you in the sky! To be a happy one I'd like to leave an afterglow Of smiles when life is done Keepsakes of the Heart I'd like to leave an echo A collection of your memories, Whispering softly down the ways Precious times enjoyed together; Of happy times and laughing times Keepsakes of the heart And bright and sunny days That remain with us forever. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, To dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave A Little While When life is done Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow, But remember me in every tomorrow ...
