In this Chapter, we are going to learn how we can use KEYBOARD for writing paragraph, story, poem, etc. by using some Special keys other than Alphabet keys, Number Keys, , Spacebar Key, etc. Now, we must learn use of the Special keys like CAPS , , KEY, , , , , KEY on the keyboard.

CAPS LOCK KEY The Caps Lock key is on the left of the Alphabet key ‘A’. The Caps Lock key is used to type alphabets in capitals, by keeping it pressed. CURSOR CONTROL KEYS The Cursor is a small black blinking line on the computer screen. The Cursor can be moved left and right or up and down by pressing the four keys that have on them. These four keys are called Cursor Control Keys .

BACKSPACE KEY Backspace The Backspace Key removes or erases the letter or number on the left of the cursor. This key is just above the ENTER KEY.

DELETE KEY Delete The Delete Key erases or removes the letter or number on the right of the cursor.

SHIFT KEY Shift There are two Shift keys on the keyboard. Shift key is used with another key to get Capital letter or upper characters.

HOME KEY Home The Home key moves the cursor to the start of the line. ( - 2 - )

END KEY End The End key moves the cursor to the end of the line.

Num NUM LOCK KEY Lock The Num Lock key is used for using numeric key pad. When it is ‘ON’ numeric key pad can be used, but numeric key pad cannot be used when Num Lock is ‘OFF’.
