Day 1 Australia - Yangon, Myanmar Today depart Sydney to Myanmar (Burma). Fly with either Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Cathay Pacific to name a few (subject to availability). Upon arrival be met by a tour representative for a transfer to the hotel. Overnight: Yangon (Standard Or Premium Hotel Option) (In-flight meal)

Day 2 Yangon City Tour This morning after breakfast, learn the story of Myanmar and get to the heart of its local traditions and culture on a city tour of Yangon and its icons. Spend the day visiting famous landmarks and colonial buildings; downtown Yangon is known for the highest number of colonial period buildings in Southeast Asia. The former High Court, the former Inland Water Transport building, the former Secretariat buildings and the Strand Hotel are excellent examples of the Yangon's past. Century-old buildings with magnificent architecture are the main tourist attraction in downtown Yangon. You will also explore Bogyoke Market (aka) Scott Market, which is the best place for shopping in Myanmar, as well as Karaweik Hall & Royal Lake for a photo stop. Enjoy a beautiful sunset at , one of the spectacular monuments of Myanmar and then enjoy the evening at your leisure. Overnight: Yangon (Standard Or Premium Hotel Option) (B)

Day 3 Yangon – - Temples Tour Early this morning, take a short flight to Bagan. Take a guided tour of the wonderful scenery and architecture. Renowned as the city of four million pagodas, this is one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia. Today there are more than 2,000 pagodas, temples and monasteries - most built during the Bagan Dynasty, founded by King Anawrahta in 1044. First, head to lively Nyaung-U Market to discover a variety of Burmese traditional breakfasts. Have breakfast at a local tea house, which is situated next to the market. The Nyaung-U Market provides great photo opportunities, and also the chance for tourists to mingle with the local Myanmar people, and watch how they conduct their daily lives. Then, visit a number of incredible temples including , , , , , ending with the in time to witness a superb sunset view from the top. Overnight: Bagan (Standard Or Premium Hotel Option) (B)

Day 4 Bagan Local Products and Village Tour Bagan is not only famous for the abundance of ancient temples, but also for its exquisite handicrafts. After breakfast at the hotel, watch the intricate production of quality lacquer ware. Some of the finest are flexible, and made around bamboo and twisted horse hair. Next, you’ll learn about the making of Bagan’s most famous food, ‘Pone Yay Gyi’ at a local shop. This black paste is made from soy beans and you’ll get to see how it’s made, from the raw soy beans through to the finished product. Finally, visit Taung Bi Village to look through some private homes and local businesses. The

Day 5 Bagan – After breakfast at the hotel, take a private car to drive to Mandalay. Along the way, witness the true local life of Myanmar. The driving time will be approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, enjoy leisure time at the hotel until near the sunset time. Drive to the famous U Bein Bridge for a stunning sunset view. The U Bein Bridge is 1.2kms long and was built around 1850 and is believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. It is really magical to walk on the bridge under the sunset. Dinner is at a local restaurant (not included) before being driven back to the hotel. Overnight: Mandalay (Standard Or Premium Hotel Option) (B)

Day 6 Mandalay – (Ava) – Mandalay After breakfast at the hotel, explore the surrounding cities of Mandalay on a sightseeing tour. One of the most fascinating visits will be a stop to watch monks during worship time and enjoying their daily meal at Mahar Gandar Yone Monastery in Amarapura. Then, proceed to Sagaing. On the way, visit a silk weaving centre. The highlights of Sagaing include Kaungmhudaw Pagoda, an enormous dome shaped pagoda, Sagaing Hills, where lots of Buddhist monasteries are situated. From there, the view is spectacular. See the Irrawaddy River, numerous pagodas and monasteries. The major tourist attraction in Sagaing Hill is U Min Thonze Pagoda, one of the more distinctive complexes. Next stop is Inwa (Ava). There you will take a horse and cart to visit the 27m high Masonry Watch Tower: Nan Myint and built with 276 teak pillars and observe a Myanmar traditional Alms bowl workshop. Day 7 Mandalay - Inle Lake Today, travel onwards to Inle Lake. After breakfast be transferred to the airport and take the short flight to Heho. Once at Heho meet your transfer team. From here, it is a scenic one-hour drive to the village of Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to the magnificent Inle Lake. The rest of the day is at your own leisure in Inle Lake. Inle Lake has everything you could want - long bike rides in the countryside, excellent food, day spas and massage parlours, boat rides on the lake and lots of culture and history. The locals are friendly and it's the perfect place to chill out or get active. Suggestion for your free time, hire bicycles and riding through the villages. You will pass by buffalo in the water, farmers working in the fields, children playing and trucks full of young monks. Overnight: Inle Lake (Standard Or Premium Hotel Option) (B)

Day 8 Inle Lake Sightseeing Tour This morning start the Inle Lake sightseeing tour by boat. This boat trip will offer an excellent opportunity to observe Myanmar rural life. The day trip will take you to: Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most important symbol of religion of , Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, an attractive wooden monastery and a couple of Floating Villages (Inn Paw Khone, Pouk Par, Ywa Ma, Khar Taw) a visit to these sights provides deep insight into how the people on the lake make their livings. You can also enjoy unique One Leg Rower Fisherman, Lotus and silk weaving, boat making and cheroot making. After lunch (not included), proceed to Indein and then take a short trek to the Indein Pagoda. On the way, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere as you wander through artfully scattered 8th century Pagodas in ruins covered by trees and bushes. Then observe the Intha tribes village lives

Day 9 Inle Lake – Yangon After breakfast at the hotel, be transferred to the airport to take the short flight back to Yangon. Day 10 Departure After breakfast be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
