GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Centralized admissions to all Government and Private Ayurved/Unani/Homoeopathy/ Naturopathy and Yoga colleges (Including Constituent Colleges of Private Universities) as per rules in Rajasthan for the session 2018-19 shall be made in the following courses by the Admission Board constituted by the State Govt.

*Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)- The duration of BAMS course is 4½ years followed by compulsory internship of 1 Yr. *Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS)- The duration of BUMS course is 4½ years followed by compulsory internship of 1 Yr. *Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) - The duration of BHMS course is 4½ years followed by compulsory internship of 1 Yr. *Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Science (BNYS) The duration of BNYS course is 4½ years followed by compulsory internship of 1 Yr. 2. BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS-2018 counselling will be conducted by BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS Admission Board NEET-2018, Jodhpur, Rajasthan as per notification mentioned in the point no. 12 of the Information Bulletin of CBSE for NEET (UG)-2018 for admissions in all Government and Private BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS colleges in Rajasthan as per the rules and regulations laid down by Central Council of Indian Medicine and directions from the Central Govt. and State Govt. and other concerned agencies.

The NEET score along with some relevant data will be received from the Conducting agency CBSE for NEET- 2018 by Rajasthan State BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS Admission Board NEET-2018.

During the counselling process, the eligibility criteria, relevant documents etc. of the candidates shall be verified and BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS College shall be allotted to the candidate according to the merit and availability of the seats as per the reservation policy of the state and central govt.

REGISTRATION FEE All candidates are required to deposit non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1200/- for SC, ST, ST-STA category candidate of Rajasthan state domicile as well as candidate whose family annual income is less then INR 2.5 lacs) + applicable e-mitra charges through Internet banking / Debit card / Credit card or at any E-Mitra CSC Kiosk Centre (authorized by the Government of Rajasthan).

The registration fee is neither refundable, nor transferable and nor adjustable for any future State UG admissions. Any plea in this matter shall not be entertained.

Please keep the information submitted in application form confidential and do not share with anybody. If you don’t register during registration period, you will not be allotted any seat. Please also note that registration will be available once only.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION No candidate shall be allowed to be admitted to the BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS course until he or she has passed the qualifying examination as under:

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurved Medicine & Surgery) 10+2 passed with Science Biology ( 50 % marks in aggregate are compulsory in Physics, Chemistry, Biology) BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) 10+2 passed with Science Biology ( 50 % marks in aggregate are compulsory in Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & Passed in Urdu as additional subject in secondary level or senior secondary level BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine & Surgery) 10+2 passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yoga Sciences) 10+2 passed with Physics, Chemistry and Biology

2. Counselling will be done on the basis of merit in NEET-2018 as per following percentile.

3. (A)AGE LIMIT a. Minimum 17 years on or before 31st October 2018 for BAMS/BUMS/BNYS. b. Minimum 17 years on or before 31st December 2018 for BHMS.

3 (B) OTHER ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA a. A candidate must be a citizen of India. b. All the seats of National Institute of Ayurveda, are National level seats to be filled from eligible candidates from all over India. c. As per Ayurved Dept., Rajasthan Govt. letter No. F 25(9)Ayu/2003 Jaipur Dt. 20.06.2017 and Dr. SR Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur letter No. DSRRAU/Pravesh/17/258 Dt. 14 July 2017 the eligible candidates from all over India apart from the domicile of Rajasthan are eligible for admission in BUMS/BHMS and BNYS courses but the preference shall be given to the candidates of Rajasthan Origin and in case of the seats remain vacant, the same shall be filled by candidates from outside Rajasthan. d. All the state level seats in State Govt. and Private BAMS Colleges except National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur and the Seats Percentage allocated in the Universities regulated by Govt. of Rajasthan as per their Acts, the candidate must be one who belongs to Rajasthan, as defined below. I. The candidate must have studied for last Five years of the qualifying examination continuously as a regular candidate in a recognized institution in Rajasthan.

OR II. Natural Father/Mother of the candidate has continuously resided in Rajasthan for a period of last 10 years and the Candidate has studied for at least 5 years during this period in a recognized educational Institution in Rajasthan. Or III. The Candidate is a Son/Daughter of serving or retired employee of A. Govt. of Rajasthan including officer of All India Service borne on the State cadre of Rajasthan. B. Undertaking/Autonomous Body/Corporations/Improvement Trust/ Municipal Bodies duly constituted by Govt. of Rajasthan by an act of Law or by Government of India in Rajasthan or C. any of the University in Rajasthan or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, provided that employee has put in at least five years of service before the year of the admission. e. The Candidate is required to undergo medical examination before he is allowed to join a college after counselling.

4. RESERVATION

a. The admissions for National Institute of Ayurved, Jaipur shall be as per following Reservation Rules of Government of India:

** Out of Total Seats in MMM Govt. Ayurvedic College, 2 Seats are reserved for the “nominees” of deficient State/UT candidates (1 for Tripura and 1 for Andaman & Nicobar Islands) as per Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India directions. Note. (Reservation policy for Defence & Para Military Personnel) 1. 1% seats (in Government colleges) are reserved on priority cum merit for the natural born sons/daughters of Defence personal (serving / retired) of Rajasthan Origin and Para Military personnel (serving/retired) of Rajasthan origin, horizontally. 50% out of these reserved seats shall be Reserved for girls, unfilled seats will be reverted back to boys category. As per the Kendriya Sainik Kalyan Board, the defence seat is admissible for only one member of the family. Only wards of Defence Personnel from Army, Air Force & Navy from serial 1 to 9 below are eligible for the scheme. As per letter no. 6(1)/2017/D(Res.II), dated 30.11.2017, of Govt. of India, priority order for Defence personnel of Rajasthan origin, will be as follows:- 1. Note. (PH rules for admission in National Institute of Ayurved, Jaipur & State Govt. & Pvt. Colleges ) 5% seats out of each category of SC, ST, OBC and remaining General Category shall be further reserved on Merit-cum-Priority in each category horizontally (Reservation will be given in their respective categories ) for DISABLED candidates having permanent disability as per rules. The Certificate regarding permanent Physical Disability including the percentage, issued by a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central/State government will only be considered. Only persons with locomotor disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% should be allowed the benefit or reservation under the Disability Act for admission in all the courses. This condition shall apply to admission in all courses for reserved seats. The candidates having locomotor disability of upper limb will not be allowed the benefit of disability act. Provided that in case any seat in this 5% quota remains unfilled on account of unavailability of candidates with locomotors disability between 50% to 70% then any such unfilled seat in this 5% quota shall be filled up by persons with locomotor disability of lower limits between 40% to 50%.

*In case reserved seats are not filled, the unfilled seats shall be transferred to General category seats.

NRI Seats Admission Procedure *Out of total Seats in the private colleges, 15% seats shall be NRI seats. These will be filled as per rules and directions.

No reservation will apply on NRI seats of all BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS Colleges. NRI Seats shall be filled on the following criteria: 1. First preference shall be given to those NRI Candidates who are having ancestral Rajasthan Resident background. 2. Second preference shall be given to those NRI candidates who are having ancestral background of other state and Union Territories of India. 3. Third preference shall be given to those Indian candidates who are sponsored by NRI and sponsorship letter is attached with the application. 4. Fourth preference will be given to those Indian candidates who are willing to pay a fee equivalent to US $ 15,000 for BAMS & US $ 11,000 for BHMS/BUMS. *Documents Required for NRI Candidates 1. Candidate shall submit a proof being sponsor NRI/OCI/PIO in the form of certificate issued by the Indian embassy/Ministry of external affairs, Government of India for this purpose. In the absence of that certificate a duly notarized undertaking executed by the sponsor and notarized by the Notary Public of the foreign country where the sponsor resides being submitted by the sponsor, it be treated as sufficient as Page 5 of 17

to the factum of the residence of the sponsor. 2. An affidavit from the sponsor that he/she looks after such student and will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate.

REGISTRATION / APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Instruction for Online Registration Before filling the on-line registration form, read the information booklet and instructions for filling on-line registration form etc. very carefully. If any lapse is detected during the scrutiny, your candidature will be rejected even if you come through the final stage of admission process or even at a later stage. Follow the steps as given in “Instructions to fill up on-line registration form” available at the website. Note the registration ID and password for further steps. Keep it safe.

Documents required at the time of counselling /reporting Print and preserve 2 copies of the registration form filled on-line along with the following documents in original and one set of self attested photocopies of the following documents compulsorily with you: 1. NEET 2018 Score Card

2. Mark sheet of 10+2 (senior school/ Senior Secondary certificate examination) or its equivalent 3. Date of Birth Certificate: 10th class mark sheet / certificate or any other equivalent certificate showing the date of birth th 4. Mark sheet of secondary examination (10 class) 5. Certificate/ Document providing your eligibility as selected by you at the time of filling on-line registration form as given under serial 3 (B) in the Information Booklet 6. Copy of photo ID (driving licence / PAN card / Voter ID / Govt. or PSU card / Aadhaar card) 7. Valid Caste certificate, sub-category certificate, if applicable. OBC / MBC Certificate should not be older than one year. 8. Domicile certificate, if applicable duly signed by the District Magistrate/Ad. District Magistrate/S.D.M./ Tehsildar of the concerned District is required during the counselling.

Candidates will be required to submit this print copy of the registration form (duly completed in all respects) at the time of Counselling, failing which their candidature shall be rejected . They will be disqualified without any further correspondence. You should make sure of your eligibility etc. and that the declaration made by you in the format of application regarding your eligibility is correct in all respects. You will be liable to any legal action and / or punishment as may be deemed fit by the Admission Board in case it is found that you have furnished in-correct information or made false declaration regarding your eligibility at any stage or suppressed any information. The jurisdiction for legal cases arising out of BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS Admissions 2018 shall be limited to the High Court of Rajasthan, Jodhpur only. The decision of the Admission Board in all aspects and all respects pertaining to the application and its acceptance or rejection as the case may be, conduct of counselling and at all consequent stages culminating in the admission or otherwise of any candidate shall be final in all respects and binding on all concerned. The admission board reserves its right to alter and modify time and conditions laid down in the notification, information booklet for conducting the various stages up to the admission, duly intimating details thereof on the website, as warranted by any unforeseen circumstances arising during the course of this process, or as deemed necessary by the admission board at any stage.

ALLOTMENT OF SEATS THROUGH Counselling PROCESS

Selection of Students

The Ist, IInd & Mop up counselling process will be done Off line at the office of Counselling Board at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Karwar, Nagaur Road, Jodhpur.

Allotment of seats through Counselling process of all successful and registered candidates through NEET-2018 result shall be conducted for all the candidates who appeared in NEET-2018, strictly in accordance with the merit list prepared on the basis of All India Merit in NEET-2018. In case of equal marks in NEET- Merit 2018 the merit will be decided on the 10+2 examination marks. If the equality still persists then the merit will be decided on the seniority of age.

The selected candidates must carry all requisite certificates / documents in original along with self-attested copies of the same for verification, at the time of reporting to Counselling Board along with demand draft of the token fees of Rs. 20000 (Rs. Twenty Thousand) in favour of Chairman, AYUSH UG Counselling Admission Board, Rajasthan payable at Jodhpur to be submitted to Counselling Board, failing which their admission shall stand cancelled. A candidate without Original certificates / documents shall not be allowed to take admission at the allotted college under any circumstances. A candidate who has already been admitted in UG course and has deposited his / her certificates in any college/ institute / university and comes for counselling (allotment process) with a certificate stating that “his/her original certificates are deposited with the college / institute / university will not be allowed to take admission at the allotted college. The colleges shall be provided the list of candidates allotted. They shall verify the credentials of reporting candidates as per the list. The admission shall be treated as provisional subject to the final decision of any pending case(s) in any court of law, if applicable to these admissions. Further, the provisional status of admission shall stand cleared only after enrolment by the concerned University.

REPORTING TO COLLEGE AFTER COUNSELLING/JOINING TIME

Each candidate shall be given the time as mentioned in the allotment letter to join the allotted college and course. There is no provision of extension for joining date under any circumstances. The allotment made will be firm and final. Change of college/course from one place to another is not permitted. Therefore, request for the same would not be entertained by the Admission Board after the allotment except the candidate can opt for 2nd round of counselling as fresh candidate for change of college/course as per allotment.

Important The candidates who do not join the allotted college will be treated as fresh candidate in the subsequent round of counselling. While reporting for admission, please carry all the relevant certificates/documents. The fact that a candidate has appeared for allotment shall not entitle him/her for allotment reallocation as the same will be subject to availability of seat and acceptance of the available seats at the rank of the candidate by him/her. Candidates who have been admitted must join their classes on the date to be notified by concerned universities after admission. The selection for this admission will be cancelled if the selected candidates do not report to the allotted college and deposit fees up to the stipulated period. The candidates must present the accepted resignation from the institution he/ she is pursing studies at present at time of reporting. Failure to do so will result in disqualification for admission.

IMPERSONATION

1. If at any stage, it is found that any candidate has indulged in any case of impersonation i.e. not matching the photograph/signature/documents of the candidate etc. he/she will be handed over to the Police and the cases will be dealt as per the Indian Penal Code in this matter and if required, the cases will be handed over to Police for further investigation. Such candidates will be debarred permanently from taking BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS Admissions in Future. 2. The apex court drew guidelines for the management of all educational institutions to follow. Among them: Educational institutions should take anti-ragging measures right from the time of advertisement for admissions. The prospectus, the form for admission and/or any other literature issued to aspirants for admission must clearly mention that ragging is banned in the institution and anyone indulging in it is likely to be punished appropriately which may include expulsion from the institution, suspension from the institution or classes for a limited period or fine with a public apology. The punishment may also take the shape of: (i) withholding scholarships or other benefits (ii) debarring from representation in events (iii) with holding results (iv) suspension or expulsion from hostel or mess. If there be any legislation governing ragging or any provisions in statute/ordinance, it should be brought to the notice of the students/parents seeking admissions. A printed leaflet detailing when and to whom a victim may turn for information, help and guidance for various purposes, keeping in view the needs of new entrants, along with their addresses and telephone numbers should be given to fresher at the time of admissions so that they need not to look to seniors for help in such matters. 3. If, for reasons to be recorded in writing, the Admission Board suspects that a particular candidate has obtained a certificate by misrepresenting facts, the matter will be referred to the concerned D.M. On receipt of the enquiry report, the Admission Board shall take the final decision regarding the admission of the Candidate.

Salient points to be taken care of: 1. The candidate must upload his/her recent color photographs during online registration. 2. Each candidate must clearly mention the category/ Sub-category of reservation if desired by him/her. 3. The candidates of any category of Gen/SC/ST/ST-STA/OBC/MBC/Paramilitary/Defence and if applying for additional reservation as Physically Handicapped should mention this information on space provided for that and related certificate issued by the competent authority, should be provided at the time of counselling. 4. Any candidate, once allowed appearing at NEET (UG)- 2018 does not become directly eligible for admission to Ayurved, Homoeopathy and Unani and Yoga & Naturopathy courses. The eligibility of successful candidates for admission in any category (General or Reserved) shall be finally ascertained at the time of admission. The decision of the Admission Board for the eligibility shall be final. 5. A candidate shall have to deposit the complete fee of the college, where he/she is admitted in the notified time after the counselling irrespective of the token money Rs. 20000 (Twenty Thousand only) deposited to the Counselling Board at the time of counselling. Only after depositing this fee, the college shall confirm the admission. Only after the confirmation of admission the token money shall be adjusted with the college fees by the concerned college. If the admission is not confirmed, the money shall be forfeited by the Board. 6. If a candidate remains absent during any counselling he/she will be given 2nd chance only if any counselling is arranged for vacant seats after exhausting the complete merit list. All such candidates will be again called according to revised merit list. 7. Any candidate, who has deposited complete fees in the concerned college after admission in counselling, shall be eligible to transfer according to merit in any subsequent counselling. He will have to produce original fee receipt of the concerned college.
