2019 FLORIDA GATORS TRACK & FIELD 9 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS | 111 INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL TITLES | 27 SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS Reigning NCAA Indoor Champions • Florida’s men claimed their Division I-leading eighth national title since 2010 last March, edging Southern California by three points at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships. • The indoor national title was Florida’s fourth in program history, and its first indoors since capping a three-peat in 2012. • Of the Gators’ 40 points scored at NCAA Indoors, 34 were individual, and athletes responsible for 23 of those individual points are back this year. Grant Holloway (18) and Clayton Brown (5) combined for those 23. • Repeating at NCAA Indoors this year would give the Gators’ their fifth indoor title, which would break a tie with Oregon for the third-most indoor crowns in 2018 SEC INDOORS RECAP Division I history. Only Arkansas (20) and UTEP (7) have more. SEC CHAMPIONS Women Return to the Infield at NCAA Indoors MEN • Florida’s women finished fourth at 2018 NCAA Indoors, marking their first Athlete Event Time / Mark team poidum finish since the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships. The Clayton Brown Triple Jump 16.08m / 52-9.25 Gators secured their trophy with a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay. Grant Holloway 60 Hurdles 7.53 • Two of Florida’s key individuals from that fourth-place finish--Yanis David and Sharrika Barnett--are back for senior seasons. David scored 13 WOMEN points in the horizontal jumps, while Barnett finished fourth in the 400. Athlete Event Time / Mark Lloydricia Cameron Shot Put 17.65m / 57-11 • David is the nation’s top returner (in terms of personal records) in both the triple jump and long jump, while Barnett is the No. 2 returner in the 400. ALL-SEC SECOND TEAM SEC Outdoors SWEEP MEN • Florida’s men and women swept the SEC Outdoor Championships for Athlete Event Finish the first time in program history last May.
