S 010. JUNIOR EUROPEAN GLIDING CHAMPIONSHIPS

1. DESCRIPTION On 03-23 July 2021 the 5th FAI Junior European gliding championships (club and standard classes) will be taking place in the Republic of Lithuania, Pociūnai AD, in the southern part of Vilnius FIR. The foreseen number of gliders – about 50. Launching site – Pociūnai AD 543913N 0240323E, 7 km East from Prienai (see Appendix Chart). 2. START AND END TIME OF THE COMPETITION The gliding competition is conducted daily, planned time between 08.00–18.00 UTC in the airspace area for gliding competition. Real time of activity will be published by NOTAM. 3. COMPETITION AREA The area for competition Vilnius FIR and Warsaw FIR (uncontrolled airspace). The area for competition within the Vilnius FIR is established by using Temporarily Established Segregated Area TESA 273 A/B, Temporarily Segregated Area EYTSA2C (see AIP SUP 007/2021), special glider zone Paluknys SGZ (see AIP ENR 5.5) and uncontrolled airspace. Flights within the temporarily established segregated area for the championship and activated areas may be performed only by gliders participating in the competition.
