SOROPTIMISM A global voice for women We are committed to a world where women achieve their individual potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong and peaceful communities worldwide.

What are we doing globally and nationally?  Campaigning against the trafficking of women and girls through the Purple Teardrop campaign  Raising the awareness of the effect alcohol on women and girls  Increasing access to skilled birth attendants in Papua New Guinea and The Gambia  Supporting the Violence Against Women Act  Helping women survivors of war and natural disasters.

What are we doing locally?  Raising awareness of environmental issues including recycling and promoting local produce  Promoting women in business  Working in partnership with local secondary schools  Raising awareness of health issues, especially those affecting women  Supporting the Gateway club and Fishguard Festival  Supporting local organisations and charities.
