Finalement quinze d'entre-elles se sont qualifiées pour la finale régionale de Payerne. La première éliminatoire locale de l'UBS Kids Cup Team 2019 s'est déroulée à la salle des Isles à Yverdon-les-Bains. L'USY Athlétisme, le club organisateur, a pu compter sur une très bonne participation puisque pas moins de cent trente équipes s'étaient annoncées, soit plus de sept cents jeunes. Ce gros succès populaire a été aussi une belle réussite sportive pour un tiers de la quarantaine d'équipes vaudoises engagées. Dans une ambiance souvent très chaude, quinze teams vaudois ont réussi à se qualifier pour la finale régionale qui aura lieu le 12 février 2019 à Payerne. Le Lausanne-Sports s'est particulièrement distingué en plaçant huit équipes parmi les qualifiés pour Payerne, dont cinq victoires. L'US Yverdon, associé parfois à la FSG La Sarraz a réussi à en placer quatre, tandis que le Stade Lausanne, la FSG Morges et la FSG Lucens en ont qualifié une chacun. La prochaine éliminatoire locale aura lieu le 15 décembre 2018 à Martigny, où le niveau sera comme d'habitude l'un des plus hauts de cette série d'éliminatoires. A cette occasion, les jeunes du Stade Lausanne et du CA Riviera feront leur entrée en lice et celle-ci devrait être fort remarquée.
