International Casting Directors Network Index 01 Welcome 02 About the ICDN 04 Index of Profiles 06 Profiles of Casting Directors 76 About European Film Promotion 78 Imprint 79 ICDN Membership Application form Gut instinct and hours of research “A great film can feel a lot like a fantastic dinner party. Actors mingle and clash in the best possible lighting, and conversation is fraught with wit and emotion. The director usually gets the bulk of the credit. But before he or she can play the consummate host, someone must carefully select the right guests, send out the invites, and keep track of the RSVPs”. ‘OSCARS: The Role Of Casting Director’ by Monica Corcoran Harel, The Deadline Team, December 6, 2012 Playing one of the key roles in creating that successful “dinner” is the Casting Director, but someone who is often over-looked in the recognition department. Everyone sees the actor at work, but very few people see the hours of research, the intrinsic skills, the gut instinct that the Casting Director puts into finding just the right person for just the right role. It’s a mix of routine and inspiration which brings the characters we come to love, and sometimes to hate, to the big screen. The Casting Director’s delicate work as liaison between director, actors, their agent/manager and the studio/network figures prominently in decisions which can make or break a project. It’s a job that can't garner an Oscar, but its mighty importance is always felt behind the scenes. In July 2013, the Academy of Motion Pictures of Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) created a new branch for Casting Directors, and we are thrilled that a number of members of the International Casting Directors Network are amongst the first Casting Directors invited into the Academy.

Leur dernière réalisation I Feel Good,

Each character lives in a separate world but authors a story about the life of another. The comic book artist, Emma, works by day at an artificial love doll factory, and is hoping to undergo a secret cosmetic procedure. Emma’s comic tells the story of Edward, a cocky film director with a debilitating secret about his anatomy. The director, Edward, creates a film that features Michelle, an aspiring novelist who escapes to Brazil and abandons her former life as a model. Michelle, pens a novel that tells the tale of Emma, who works at an artificial love doll factory… And so it goes..

  • White Collar Star Matt Bomer Comes Out
White Collar Star Matt Bomer Comes Out White Collar actor, Matt Bomer, finally came out as gay at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards this Saturday. After accepting the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS, the actor made the announcement to the public. “I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment,” he added, according to UsMagazine.com. Bomer’s partner is Simon Hall, who is a Slate PR publicist. What are the best ways to come clean about your sexuality to friends and family? Cupid’s Advice: The nuclear family is changing, and more people have the confidence to come out about their sexual orientation. Cupid has some tips to help you be honest with your friends and family: 1. Friends: Coming out to your friends first will be good practice for when you tell your family. You’ll get an assortment of reactions, and you’ll be able to identify your true friends. It will be easier to tell your family once you already have a support system behind you. 2. Be ready: If you have gay friends that have already come out, they may pressure you to hurry and do the same. Wait until you’re completely ready emotionally and mentally, so that the situation is handled the best it can be. 3. Confidence: Your biggest fear about coming out may be your friend’s and family’s reactions. If things take a turn for the worst, be patient and give them time to come to terms with the situation.

Dependent on the medical staff and pain relievers, she takes time to look back on the turbulent ten-year relationship she experienced with Georgio (Vincent Cassel). Why did they love each other? Who is this man whom she loved so deeply? How did she allow herself to submit to this suffocating and destructive passion? For Tony, a difficult process of healing is in front of her, physical work which may finally set her free. LOGLINE Acclaimed auteur Maïwenn’s magnum opus about the real and metaphysical pain endured by a woman (Emmanuelle Bercot) who struggles to leave a destructive co-dependent relationship with a charming, yet extremely self-centered lothario (Vincent Cassel).

Fuller was a victim of a workplace accident, and his ongoing medical issues have led him to hire Laura to see if she can reopen his case. He’s stubborn and won’t listen to Laura’s advice – though he seems to heed it when the same counsel comes from a male colleague. Thinking he has no other option, Fuller decides to take a security guard hostage in order to get his demands met. Laura must act as intermediary and exchange herself for the hostage, trying to convince Fuller to give himself up.
