The Pan American Games is a multi-sport competition that is held every four years, usually the year before the Olympics. "I do feel like it is an honor," Warley said. "I think the USA will only improve and impact my game," Warley is already well-prepared for the experience. In the 2010-11 season. War- ley averaged a double-double and led the Big South in field goal percentage. As a result, Warley does not have qualms about playing on an international level. "I've worked really hard," Warley said. "Definitely going hard every day in prac- tice. I'm just excited." "I'm very excited for her," head coach Carey Green said. "I don't think that there is a greater honor for a student- athlete, or an athlete period, than to rep- resent the country in competition."     COACHING STAFF ADAM WRIGHT HEAD COACH • 1st Year Alma Mater: UCLA ’01 Adam Wright begins his first season as UCLA’s head men’s water polo coach in 2009. A former standout in the pool at UCLA and on the U.S. Olympic Team, Wright was named the fourth head coach in program history on June 3, 2009. A four-year letterwinner at UCLA (1997-2000), Wright led the Bruins to back-to- back NCAA titles in 1999 and 2000. Following his collegiate career, Wright served as a key member on the U.S. National Team, participating in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics for Team USA. He helped lead the U.S. to a seventh-place finish at the 2004 Olympics (Athens) and to the silver medal at the 2008 Olympics (Beijing). Wright served as an assistant coach with the UCLA men’s and women’s water polo teams during the 2008-09 school year. He helped guide the women’s program to an unprecedented fifth consecutive NCAA championship in May 2009. Following the 2008 men’s water polo season, Wright played an integral role in securing the top men’s recruiting class in the nation. In addition, Wright served as an assistant coach with the varsity boys and girls water polo programs at Wilson High School (Long Beach, Calif.) from 2001-04. He helped coach the boys program to four consecutive CIF Division I championships and Moore League titles. Wright coached the girls team to two Moore League titles and two CIF Division I quarterfinal playoff appearances. As a senior at UCLA in 2000, Wright scored 39 goals before earning honorable mention All-America acclaim and second-team All-MPSF honors.

    2007 Pan American Games Page 1 of 2 To All Potential Team Members, Coaches and Officials for the 2007 Pan American Games The 2007 Pan American Games will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil July 14 -28. The USOC requires some extensive paperwork to be filled out well in advance of this event in order for an athlete, coach or judge to be eligible to participate in the Pan American Games. This task can be a bit daunting and tedious. It is important to understand that ANY athlete that intends (or is even contemplating) attempting to qualify to the 2007 Pan American Games Team or any coach or judge that plans to participate in the event must complete the entire process listed below by the dates noted. Failure to do so will result in the athlete, coach or judge being removed from consideration for a Pan American Games position.     Universal Sports and NBC Present the 2013 World Aquatic Championships July 20 – August 4 Strong U.S. Teams Comprised of Olympic Veterans and Rising Stars Compete Against the World’s Best in Diving, Swimming, Synchronized Swimming and Water Polo; Universal Sports and NBC Team Up to Provide 70 Hours of Coverage Universal Sports Network and NBC will air 70 hours of premier pool action from the 2013 FINA World Aquatic Championships in Barcelona, Spain, from Saturday, July 20, through Sunday, August 4, in the world championships for diving, swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo. Universal Sports kicks off coverage on Saturday, July 20, at 7 p.m. ET with the opening rounds of diving and synchronized swimming followed by the first day of water polo group play when the USA women take on Greece on Sunday, July 21 at 6 p.m. ET.
