Well-known plants in each angiosperm order This list is generally from least evolved (most ancient) to most evolved (most modern). (I’m not sure if this applies for Eudicots; I’m listing them in the same order as APG II.) The first few plants are mostly primitive pond and aquarium plants. Next is Illicium (anise tree) from Austrobaileyales, then the magnoliids (Canellales thru Piperales), then monocots (Acorales through Zingiberales), and finally eudicots (Buxales through Dipsacales). The plants before the eudicots in this list are considered basal angiosperms. This list focuses only on angiosperms and does not look at earlier plants such as mosses, ferns, and conifers. The purpose of the guide is to provide the necessary information about variety selection, planting requirements, and plant care that growers will need to make informed decisions. This guide will look at blackcurrants, red currants (including white and pink, which are of the same species as reds), and gooseberries. While not all varieties are included in this guide, we cover those that seem to have the most potential for the North American market. Common varieties such as Pixwell, Oregon Champion, Colossal (gooseberries), Consort, Ben Nevis, Crandall, Ben Lomond, Ben Alder (black currants) have been surpassed by the introduction of varieties that combine higher yields, better disease resistance and superior fruit qualities. In future editions of this guide we will discuss new and relevant varieties as they are made available, as well as updated information on yields, pests, and information from the plant trials that will be taking place across North America. -

This study was the first time in Russia to carry out a large-scale (127 samples) assessment of the diverse gene pool of black currant and red currant, the study of intervarietal polymorphism between varieties of the Ribes L. genus from the VNIISPK collection. A cluster analysis of the genetic similarity of black currant varieties (53 varieties), red currant (73 varieties) and one gooseberry variety was performed using 14 SSR markers. Based on the data obtained, a dendrogram was built, in which a number of clusters with high bootstrap support (BS, %) were distinguished. At BS>50%, the coefficients of pairwise genetic similarity between varieties varied from 0.4 to 0.91. The studied representatives of the Ribes genus merged into two main clusters of red currant and black currant. The blackcurrant cluster was joined by gooseberries. The SSR analysis method allows to reveal broad perspectives in the field of identifying varieties affiliation to species. 1 Introduction Currant became known to people quite a long time ago. Corporate Communications 40 apprentices start their careers at CNH Industrial's future site in Ulm, Germany Ulm, 3 September 2021 On September 1, 40 new entrants began their three or three-and-a-half-year apprenticeships as Industrial Business Management Assistants (m/f/d), Warehouse Logistics Specialists (m/f/d), Construction Mechanics (m/f/d), Vehicle Paint Technicians (m/f/d), Industrial Mechanics (m/f/d), Industrial Electronics Technicians (m/f/d), or Automotive Mechatronic Technicians (m/f/d) at the CNH Industrial site in Ulm with Iveco Magirus AG, Magirus GmbH, and Nikola Iveco Europe GmbH. The apprentices are joined by eight automotive engineering students in a four-and-a-half-year dual-study program based on the Ulmer Modell, and one BA student in business administration. On September 1, the new career starters were welcomed by Thomas Hilse, Managing Director of Magirus GmbH and Chairman of the Executive Board of Iveco Magirus AG, by Achim Specht, Member of the Executive Board of Iveco Magirus AG, as well as by the Works Council, the training supervisors of the respective professions and the youth representatives. The first few days are an orientation period for the highly motivated new trainees. They receive information about their training course, work processes, and future working life in modern commercial vehicle companies. In compliance with the latest safety measures and hygiene regulations, they then leave for a one-week event on 6 September, during which they get to know each other through team-building measures and learn about value management, attend seminars, and much more. -

Foliar application of nutrients is considered a promising environmentally friendly strategy for improving the yield and nutrient efficiency of crops. Little work with foliar appliances on perennial fruits bushes, blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum L.), respectively, has been reported. This study was conducted to evaluate the growth and yield response of three blackcurrant varieties to macro and micronutrients’ foliar fertilizer solutions. -
