Vol. 9–3 PGRC Pitch Meter Fall 2018 What a Night! Boats, Brews and BBQ While rain threatened all week, on the evening of September 15th the river was tranquil, the skies were clear, and the weather was warm. This lovely and fun party was attended by over 170 people and raised $9,900 for the Preservation Campaign. The Preservation Campaign is the ongoing effort of PGRC to restore and rebuild the oldest structure on . The funds generated at this event will go towards Phase II of the construction process, currently in progress, to repair and seal the windows of the clubhouse for energy efficiency.

The clubhouse was the venue for the event and it sparkled, literally and figuratively.

Whether sitting on the deck, on the dock or at tables under twinkling lights strung between PGRC and Undine, guests feasted on southern BBQ, by Florence the Caterer, including pork sliders, fried chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, corn bread pudding, beans and roasted vegetables. Roy Pitz Barrel House served up craft beer and PGRC provided the wine. (con’t on p.4)
