Through Harry, Ebony soon discovers it is only a matter of time before Harry is tracked down and heavies are sent to get him. She tries to convince him that they should run away to Cuba, but Harry is reluctant to leave the country Day by day Harry’s past catches up with him. Bingo, a New Orleans racketeer arrives, and tortures Harry until he agrees to return the money. In a boat fight, Harry and Ebony drown Bingo and bury him in the swamp. Others come to find Harry - Luke from Memphis, Babette from Los Angeles, and finally Michael from Miami. Harry and Ebony murder them one by one, but the murders leave Harry with no hope for a better future, and Ebony with no way to escape from Harry. His first feature film was made in 1999 called ‘Love The One You’re With’ which was nominated for best Scottish film at the Bowmore Scottish Screen Awards in 2000 . Robbie went on make many other films wanting to use the Scottish landscape as much as possible, a great example of this is in his films ‘Winter Warrior’, ‘The Bone Hunter’ and ‘Axe Raiders’ a trilogy set in the 575 A.D. In 2004 ‘Red Rose’ a film based on the life of Robert Burns won the best actress award at the Monaco International Film Festival. Last year Robbie was nominated for ‘The Johnny Walker Great Scot Award 2011’ for outstanding contribution to Scottish culture. Robbie has also penned commissioned work for Hollywood companies. As a member of BAFTA, and The Directors Guild of Great Britain, he is a past member of the society of Authors and British Equity. He is also well travelled, having visited more than 80 countries. Money Hungry is currently his 21st production. Marc Halperin - Consulting Producer Marc Halperin bought the skills, experience and connections from mainstream studio distribution to the independent market- place. He has an eye for spotting potentially successful films and understanding what it takes to market them both as commercial, crossover or niche products. In 1989, Marc joined Miramax Films, where he served as Senior Vice President General Sales Manager. Here he was responsible for the distribution of every Miramax release from Stephen Soderbergh's “Sex Lies and Video Tape” through “The Crying Game”. Marc found "Sex, Lies and Videotape" while working for Cineplex Odeon Films, but when that company ceased to exist, he distributed the film for Miramax, launching an "indie" renaissance that continues to this day. During this period Marc helped Miramax to redefine the art market with “Cinema Paradiso”, “My Left Foot”, “The Grifters” and many other Oscar nominated films. His first break starring as Allan Hindle in the BBC’s soap, “Eldorado”. After various short films and a Channel 4, TV series, “Focus North”, he starred in his first feature film “Coldfish” in 1999, playing the lead role of Alex. In 2001, he secured lead roles in Palm Tree’s “The Hawk & the Dove” and played the antagonist ‘Ida’ in “Winter Warrior”. John now divides his time working between the USA and UK. “Villains” is his 10th production with Palm Tree Entertainment. Fernanda Romero – (Ebony) Fernanda got her first big break at the age of sixteen where she landed a spot in BMG’s ensemble group Frizzby. With the group, she released two top ten singles, and has toured from Mexico to Central America. At the age of 18, she successfully transitioned to the world of television, as she hosted various programmes and nationwide commercials. Fernanda later moved to LA, and appeared in various television and print ad campaigns for Rock and Republic, Clean and Clear, Pepsi, Apple, and JC Penny, to name a few. It was during this time where she got discovered for her on camera appeal and potential. Her dedication paid off as she was cast in Telemundo’s original production ‘Wounded Soul’, where she was cast a lead actress and lead singer, contributing two songs to the soap opera’s soundtrack. Contact:[email protected] http://www.facebook.com/Palmtreeentertainment Supporting Cast Bios Patrick Kilpatrick – (Luke Eastman) Patrick Kilpatrick is one of the industry’s finest screen/television character actors of his generation, playing against a plethora of Hollywood’s leading action heroes including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Steven Segal and Chow Yun Fat. After nearly dying in a car crash as a teenager, he instead rehabilitated to largely do his own stunts in 100+ films and TV projects. He is also a versatile actor, and has played leads in everything from "American Playhouse" to a film debut in Nick Roeg's masterwork "Insignificance", to Shakespeare's "Anthony and Cleopatra" at Los Angeles Theater Center in the hands of Academy Award-winning director Tony Richardson. Kilpatrick is also the president and CEO of Uncommon Dialogue Films, Inc. Martin Kove – Bingo Brown Martin was born in New York, and has appeared in a variety of roles. He first got noticed as the antagonist ‘Nero the Hero’ in the low budget film “Death Race 2000”, and has appeared in the hit TV series “Cagney and Lacey”, as well as “Rambo: First Blood Part II”, where he starred opposite Sylvester Stallone. However, his most prominent role was in the “Karate Kid” trilogy as ‘John Kreece’, the head instructor of the Cobra Kai karate school. Martin has kept consistently busy, and has appeared in over 80 films to date, as well as numerous television roles. Leslie Easterbrook – Babette Schiller Leslie currently lives in Los Angeles, where she has starred in a number of television and movie roles including, various “Police Academy” films, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Matlock”, “Baywatch”, “Batman”, “Superman” and “The Devil’s Rejects”. She also has her own theatre in Nottingham, England named the Leslie Easterbrook Auditorium. Leslie serves on the board of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, and supports a number of children's charities including Girls, Inc., The Sunshine Kids and Variety Children's Charities. Mike Genovese – Michael Mike is an accomplished actor who has appeared in a range of prominent television and movie roles, including “Knight Rider”, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “TJ Hooker”, “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “Quantum Leap” and “ER”. He has also had appearances in “Point Break” and “Code of Silence”. Also I thought it would be interesting to remake the film with the same lead actor. I felt that the film deserved remaking because of the continued interest. Why did you want to shoot in America? The opportunity arose to shoot the film in America. American films have a wider distribution, thus they have a wider audience and a greater chance of success. What are the major differences between The Hawk and the Dove and Number Runner? The major differences between the two films is that I’ve become much more experienced With filmmaking. Money Hungry is my 21st production, whereas The Hawk and the Dove was my 3rd. How did the music contribute to the film? Brian Allan, the Scottish musician, made a major contribution to the music of the original film, The Hawk and the Dove. I want a similar collaboration with someone in the US. What were your fondest moments when making Money Hungry? My fondest moments of the shoot were waking up everyday to the warm climate. Also, the weather stayed consistent, which was very beneficial for filmmaking, What keeps you motivated and inspired? What keeps me motivated are the continual opportunities to work with creative, and talented individuals. I enjoy making films and coming up with new stories, the whole film process keeps me motivated and alive! Who is your favourite director and why? David Lean, Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen, Michael Powell, Ridley Scott and Clint Eastwood. They are all independently minded with a strong vision of what they want to achieve.
