As a senior, DaCruz was named Second Team All-State and earned Rockland County Female Athlete of the Season, after scoring 15 points per game and leading the team in assist. Career Overview: Desiree Pina returns as the Stags active leading scorer and just 20 points shy of becoming the 24th player to score 1,000 career points in program his- tory. She has started all but one of her 95 career appear- ances, having stepped aside on Senior Day in 2009. Pina has handed out 235 assists over the course of her career and boasts a 1.2 career assist-to-turnover ratio. The sen- ior has connected on 337 field goals, 66 from behind the arc, and has made 240 free throws during her collegiate career. Pina has also corralled 342 rebounds, recorded 120 steals and blocked 26 shots while at Fairfield. She has recorded at least one rebound in 69 consecutive games and in 90 of her collegiate games.
