The 23rd International Tutorial on Clinical Cytology and Biomarkers consists of lectures, panel discussions and microscopy workshops on: • Clinical Cytology of the Female Reproductive Tract: October 2 - 6, 2003 (5 days) • Clinical Cytology of Other Anatomic Sites and Aspiration Biopsy Cytology: October 6 - 9, 2003 (4 days) This International Tutorial is specially designed for pathologists, cytopathologists, pathology residents and experienced cytotechnologists who wish to obtain a refresher course on the newest developments and established facets of clinical cytology. This is an eight-day course of lectures and microscopy workshops. Special times have been set aside to present applications of new technologies and biomarkers. The conference language is ENGLISH. The International Tutorials on Clinical Cytology are usually booked to capacity soon after being announced. Early enrollment is recommended. Registration The registration fee for the entire eight-day Tutorial with microscopy workshops is US$1,090/ HK$8,500. The registration fee for Section 1 with microscopy workshops (Gynecologic Cytology, 5 days) is US$825/HK$6,400. That for Section 2 with microscopy workshops (Non-Gynecologic Cytology, 4 days) is US$775/HK$6,000. The registration fee for Lectures Only is as follows: For the entire Tutorial: US$680/ HK$5,300, Section 1 lectures: US$500/HK$3,900 and Section 2 lectures: US$425/HK$3,300. Registration is NOT transferable.

Special Registration Fee Reductions Early registration (on or before June 15, 2003) deducts US$100/HK$800. Members of the IAC or Cosponsoring National Societies deduct US$50/HK$400. Cytotechnologists and Resident Physicians (certified by their Medical Directors) deduct US$100/HK$800.

Payment of Fees Registration fees may be paid, preferably by credit card (Visa and MasterCard), or by bank draft, or by check (in Hong Kong currency drawn on a Hong Kong bank) payable to “The Hong Kong College of Pathologists” in the amounts indicated above and oq7the Registration Form. Be sure to include the registration form and indicate the name of the registrant on the bank draft/check. Microscopes Complimentary microscopes will be provided to all workshops‘ attendees. Registration of microscopy workshops is accepted on a “first-come-first-served” basis. Continuing Education Credits For IAC-registered cytotechnologists, this course provides up to 63 credits towards revalidation of their certificate. The ASC-CECC participants also receive appropriate credits for enrollment in this program. Continuing Medical Education (CME) points will also be accredited by The Hong Kong College of Pathologists and The Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Official Receipt Registration is final only when the registration fee is received. Registrants will receive a letter of confirmation of the completed and accepted registration. 3 Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be made in writing to the Secretariat. No refund on or after June 15, 2003. 10% will be deducted as administrative cost. Refunds will be made after the Tutorial.

Letter of Invitation The Organizing Committee will send a Letter of Invitation upon request. The invitation is intended to facilitate participant's travel and visa arrangements and does not imply the provision of any financial or other support.

Board and Registry Examinations IAC INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF CYTOPATHOLOGY and IAC REGISTRY EXAMINATION FOR CYTOTECHNOLOGISTS On October 10, 2003, the International Academy of Cytology will hold the International Cytopathology Board Examination (open only to Medical Members of the IAC=MIACs) and Registry Examination for Cytotechnologists. Successful candidates of the Registry Examination for Cytotechnologists in the comprehensive field of clinical cytotechnology may carry the title CT(IAC) behind their names. CT(IAC)-registered cytotechnologists may become IAC Cytotechnology Members (CMIAC) or later become voting IAC Members (CFIAC). The International Academy of Cytology has administered the Registry Examinations to more than 9,000 cytotechnologists worldwide. The test is computerized. The Cytotechnology Registry examination is given in the following languages: Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, and Swedish.

Deadline for submission The deadline for submission of application forms for the above examinations is August 15, 2003.

Special Reduction Full registrants of the Tutorial (Medical Doctors and Cytotechnologists) who will take the Cytopathology Board and/or Cytotechnology Registry Examination in Hong Kong respectively will receive a 50% reduction for Cytopathology Board examinees (US$250 instead of US$500) and no charge for Cytotechnology Registry examinees.
