The key principles and key steps integral to the Draw are explained below. Key principles • The 20 clubs which have qualified on merit from the TOP 14, Gallagher Premiership Rugby, the Guinness PRO14, the PRO D2, the Greene King IPA Championship and from the Continental Shield will compete in the 2018/19 Challenge Cup in five pools of four. • The clubs are divided into four tiers based on the qualification positions from their respective leagues, and on the Continental Shield. A draw will be carried out in advance of the pool draw proper to complete the tiers. • Each of the five pools will include one club from each of the four tiers. • Each pool will have at least one club from the TOP 14, the Premiership and the PRO14. • There will be no more than two clubs from the same league in a pool. • No pool will contain two PRO14 clubs from the same country. • Clubs from the same league will be kept apart until the Tier 4 allocation. • A club from the Continental Shield cannot be drawn into a pool which contains two TOP 14 clubs or two Premiership clubs. Challenge Cup qualification For the purposes of creating the tiers, the clubs are ranked based on their finishing positions in the TOP 14, Premiership, PRO14, PRO D2 and Championship leagues, or on qualification from the Continental Shield.

Rugby is a sport and subject that I am very passionate about, and I aspire to play at the highest level. Currently I play for Hampton U13 Bs and my club (Twickenham) first team. I find captaincy interesting as I think it takes great skill and certain characteristics to be a good captain let alone a country-leading world-famous great captain. My personal experiences of rugby captaincy have been periodically with my school team and regularly for my club. My personal view of rugby captaincy based on my experiences is that you need to be the hardest-working player on the pitch at all times – you may not be the most skilled, but you can be the hardest-working, and respect from your team- mates and from your coaches comes from this work ethic.

A Warriors side rather depleted the day after a hard match and heavy night, still played a full part in this entertaining game that helped Llanishen end their time at USK road before moving on to a purpose built 3G pitch next season. With 6 last minute withdrawals the Warriors had to reshuffle. Gwilym moving to scrum half at such moments has become standard but also moving out of the pack were Nathan Lawson at 13 and Jordan Jones at 14. Llanishen fielded a combined XV of 1sts and 2nds and set abut enjoying themselves. Cross kicks and ambitious passes were the order of the day but stout defence and some lapses frustrated them for most of the game. The Warriors dominated at times and the pack worked hard in rumbling forwards with Jenkins, Mark Lewis, Dai Haines and Richard Evans all going strong and man of the match Tomos Hall hitting ruck after ruck. Llanishen never looked like losing and crossed for 5 fine tries as they showed off their full range of skills. The Warriors got on the board in the 1st half when the elusive Andrew Davies wriggled through. The 2nd half was closer with Ben Winstanley turning through a pile of bodies and right at the death Davies followed up a scrum half break to bag his 2nd try.
