MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LADOCK PARISH COUNCIL ON 11 AUGUST 2014

Following the notice the Meeting of Ladock Parish Council was held on Monday 11 August 2014 at 7.30pm at The Sir Robert Harvey Memorial Hall, Gampound Road.

PRESENT Cllrs Baines (Chairman), Barker, Dodwell, Hartley, Hoskin, Howes, Jones and Marris, 6 members of the public and the Clerk.

APOLOGIES Apologies were received and approved from Cllr Waitz and Weller. CCllr also sent his apologies.

MEMBERS DECLARATIONS 1 PECUNIARY/REGISTERABLE INTERESTS. None declared. 2 NON PECUNIARY/DISCLOSABLE INTERESTS. None declared. 3 DECLARATIONS OF GIFTS. None declared. 4 DISPENSATIONS. None received.

ADJOURNMENT FOR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO SPEAK 2 members of the public spoke. Cllr Marris stated that due to ill health she may be absent from some meetings and offered her apologies for future absence. Apologies were approved. MEETING RESUMED

APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1 FULL COUNCIL MEETING OF 9 JUNE 2014. Approved and signed by Chairman as a true copy. 2 FULL COUNCIL MEETING OF 14 JULY 2014. Approved and signed by Chairman as a true copy.

MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION 7.50pm Cllr Jones arrived. 2 WORLD WAR I COMMEMORATION. Clerk to send correspondence to William Manuell, Cricket Club, to confirm preference for trees along footpath and also a plaque. Cllr Marris to research tree species and cost. Cllr Hoskin to ask advice on species from Henry Hoskin. Cllr Jones to investigate possible assistance with funding from Transition group. Ongoing. 1 ROAD SAFETY – IMPROVEMENTS AT CARNWINNICK JUNCTION/SINNOTT’S YARD. Clerk to contact CC/Cormac regarding possibility of 40mph speed restriction from Lawndowns entrance to Grampound Road village. Ongoing. 3 AREA ADJACENT TO RIVER NEAR OLD CHAPEL, LADOCK. Clerk to chase for quote for strimming vegetation and reducing hazel tree by 50%. Ongoing. 4 LADOCK BUS SHELTER UPDATE. Application is in a queue for priority with . 5 WEBSITE. Cllr Barker to obtain costs for September meeting. 6 VULNERABLE PERSON SCHEME. Cllr Howes to send list of contact phone numbers to Clerk for circulation to Cllrs and place on notice boards. Cllr Howes volunteered to keep the list up to date. 7 DOG FOULING AT TREWINCE LANE. Clerk to contact CC Dog Warden for advice. 8 GAVEL. Cllrs did not want to use a gavel at meetings. Resolved. 9 REVIEW OF POLLING DISTRICTS AND PLACES. Clerk to reply supporting recommendations. Resolved.

PLANNING 1 PLANNING APPLICATION PA14/05814. APPLICANT: MORROW FARM PARTNERSHIP. LOCATION: TREVEALE FARM, LADOCK. PROPOSAL: ERECTION OF NEW DAIRY UNIT, SILAGE CLAMP AND SLURRY TANK. Proposed by Cllr Howes, seconded by Cllr Marris to support application. All in favour. Cllr Jones volunteered to attend Planning Committee Meeting.
