Pat is Assistant Principal at Sir Jonathan North and her responsibilities include the leadership of teaching and learning, CPD for both teaching and support staff, oversight of NQTs and ITT students, along with line management of the Expressive Arts and Design Technology teams. Before going into teaching Rachel worked as an independent dance artist in Leicester and delivered dance programmes tailored to adults and children with disabilities and special needs. • Leads a successful dance department which develops innovative cross curricular links and projects with other faculty areas to promote and enhance kinaesthetic learning. The projects use dance as a medium to engage and challenge learners to think outside the box in order to consolidate learning and to enhance Dance and Physical Education student progress within the chosen curriculum area. Rachel East Rushey Mead School (PE), Leadership of curriculum • Has established an effective outreach programme which develops primary dance provision and offers dance CPD for primary teachers.
