DAY 1: Singapore ✈ Beijing – Mt.Wutai (D) Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Beijing - Cosmopolitan Cultural Capital of New China. Upon arrival, proceed to Mt.Wutai. After dinner, check in hotel. DAY 2: Mt. Wutai ( approx 3hrs) - Hunyuan ( approx 1hr) – Datong (B/L/D) After Breakfast, proceed to Mt.Wutai, - Buddha’s Summit, also known as Buddha’s Hat. It sits on the top of a hill in the northwest of Taihuai Village. There are 3 main halls, the Buddhist Deities Hall, Sakyamuni Hall and the Buddha Hall. Next visit Xiantong Temple. This temple was built in the Yongping Reign of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Next continue to visit the Tayuan Temple, Wanfo Temple and Shuxiang Temple. Continue to Hanging Monastery, built on the cliffs of Mt. Hengshan, one of the five most scared mountains in China. It is the only existing temple which combines Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism together in China. DAY 3: Datong ( approx 4hrs) - Taiyuan ( approx 1.5hr) (B/L/D) After breakfast, visit the Yungang Grottoes (including Electric Cart ride). Listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. Yungang Grottoes is one of the top three grottoes in China, along with Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang. There are 45 major grottoes in total and 209 secondary caves, with about 1100 niches and 51000 Buddhists statues. The biggest statue is 17 meters high and the smallest one is only 2 centimetres high. Yanmen Pass (including Electric Cart ride), is one of important passes through the inner line of the Great Wall. DAY 4: Taiyuan ( approx 1.5hrs) - Pingyao (B/L/D) After breakfast, head to Jin Temple, it was founded about 1,400 years ago, resulting in a diverse collection of more than 100 sculptures, buildings, terraces, and bridges. After that, proceed to the Mengshan Giant Buddha (including Electric Cart ride), it was originally carved in Northern Song Dynasty. During the Yuan Dynasty, this Buddha was destroyed. Till 1980, the Buddha was discovered again. Next, enjoy the must see live show -- Youjian Pingyao Night Show at your own expense. DAY 5: Pingyao ( approx 3hrs) – Changzhi (B/L/D) After breakfast, visit the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the Pingyao Ancient Town (including electric cart ride). You will be brought back to the olden time upon entering the ancient city. Thereafter, proceed to visit the Rishengchang Exchange House - the first private bank in China, and ascend Pingyao Ancient City Wall - an UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and view the most well conserved county office of China - Pingyao County Government Office (Yamen). Next, you will appreciate the Jin Shang Folk Song and Dance Performance & DIY paper-cutting at your own expense. DAY 6: Changzhi ( approx 1hr) - Huguan ( approx 2hrs) - Yangcheng (B/L/D) Start the morning with visiting Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon National Forest Park, which has been rated as one of “China’s best ten grand canyons”, Enjoy the magnificence of the wonder of Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain: Black Dragon Pool, Eight Spring Gorge and Qinglong Gorge. DAY 7: Yangcheng ( approx 2.5hrs) – Linfen (B/L/D) Visit Royal Prime Minister's Palace, it has been called the "greatest cultural residence in North China". It is composed of numerous siheyuan-style courtyards built into the side of a hill, overlooked by defensive towers and enclosed by high crenellated walls that divide it into two sections. Afterwards, pay a visit to JinGuo Museum. Day 8: Linfen( approx 2hrs) - Hukou ( approx 3hrs) – Lingshi (B/L/D) Head to Hukou Waterfall (Including electric cart ride), the largest waterfall on the Yellow River. It is also the second largest waterfall in China after Huangguoshu Waterfall. Next, proceed to Wang Family Courtyard, it is regarded as the Forbidden City of Shanxi, which impresses visitors with its rich history and culture, every part of it is telling a story Thereafter, pay a visit to the Nanzhuang Ancient Village. Day 9: Lingshi( approx 1hrs) - Fenyang ( approx 1.5hrs) – Taiyuan (B/L/D) Proceed to Zhangbi Ancient castle, which is China's existing relatively intact a military, living, production, religious activities as one of the rare ancient pocket "castle", it focused on the Xia and Shang ancient cultural sites. Thereafter, transfer to Xinghua Village Fen Wine Factory. The wine, which is clear, sweet and scented, is famous for its colour, flavor and taste since 1500 years ago. After that, visit Vinegar Garden, the Shanxi vinegar with its unique historic and culture, has become an important representation of the Jin dynasty vinegar. Day 10: Taiyuan (By CRH, approx 3hrs) - Beijing ✈ Singapore (B/L) After breakfast, take bullet train to Beijing (2nd class).
