6th - 20th October 2018

www.midlothiansciencefestival.com Welcome to the Science Festival 2018, our annual 2-week long festival.

Outstanding and innovative research is happening right here on your door step. We are a small charity but think we are also pretty mighty. Our aim is to bring you a festival that is bold, engaging and exciting, and to reach and inspire audiences of all ages across Midlothian. We employ just one part time member of staff and rely on the generously donated time, skills and enthusiasm of 10 committee members, 12 creative team volunteers and then over 500 volunteers during the actual festival itself! And did you also know that over 90% of our events are completely free of charge to attend? If you like what we do, want to help keep the festival going and keep the events free to all, then please do consider supporting us by becoming “A Friend of the Festival”. Any donation is welcome, but we suggest £20 per family. Do go to our website for further details on all of our events and to book tickets online. You will also find out more information about our childrens ‘passport challenge’, our school programme and how to register to become a ’Friend of the Festival’ too. www.midlothiansciencefestival.com We are really looking forward to welcoming you, and sharing science with you this October!
