At that time the shortage of personnel, the shortage of documentation and the lack of their text do not make it possible to establish with certainty affiliation. One must be often satisfied with probability and limited data. During the 14th Century, amongst subjects of the Princes of Valangin we find in year 1350, the name of Yermin which becomes Small Jehan then Jehanneret then Jeanneret. In 1447, the population of valley-I-Ruz becoming more numerous, the lord of Valangin supports the colonists who from there in the High Jura will call themselves as clearer- ploughman. At the 14th Century they are established in Segue, with the Between-two-Mounts, Locle the Lime of Bottoms. A family of the name of Jeanneret is installed with the hamlet of Crozot on Locle, an official letter going back to 1612, addressed to Jean-Jacques Jeanneret, Bourgois of Valangin. -

Distinctive mountain landforms have developed on columnar dolerite substrates (Cradle Mountain – A) and quartz-rich metamorphics (Schnells Ridge – B and Western Arthur Range – C). Ice cap glaciation of massive dolerite sills has left a profusion of shallow tarns across the state’s central plateau D C Glacial deposition Moraines related to multiple late Cainozoic glacial periods are found in lowland settings in the centre and west of the state (Lake Judd – A, Federation Peak – B. Weathering rind thickness has been used to assign relative ages to these deposits (Conglomerate Creek – c). Glacial outwash deposits dammed Lake Pedder – its landforms survive intact below the Huon- A Serpentine impoundment (D). B C D Periglacial systems Active periglacial systems are found on the higher peaks (Nevada Peak – A) and frost hollows in plateau areas (Liaweenee Moor – B). Extensive relict blockstreams encircle the higher dolerite peaks of central and NE Tasmania (Western Bluff – C, Ben Lomond Plateau, D). C B A D Coastal systems On the hard rock coasts of Tasman Peninsula are found Austalia’s highest sea-cliffs –(Cape Pillar – B).
