A repertoire unique not only in choreography, but in design, production and music as well. Here in New York for the first time in over a decade we will present three different programs including nine New York premieres and the full-length "," seen on national television last June as part of WNET's "Dance in America" series. The School shares its premises with the San Francisco Ballet Company, providing a constant source of inspiration to the developing San dancer. The Company serves as a showcase for graduates of the San Francisco Ballet School. From its inception in 1933, the Francisco Ballet School has produced dancers who have achieved international status in other dance companies both in the U.S.A. and abroad. This is due to the unique strength of the School's faculty, which is comprised of dancers with extensive performing and teaching experience. The School offers one of the most extensive programs available. Class levels range from the Threshold Division, geared for children aged five through seven, through the Student Division, where a carefully structured syllabus of nine levels takes a beginning ballet student through to a professional level. An audition is required for acceptance into the Student Division. Morning and evening classes are held for beginning, intermediate and advanced adult students.
