Redd Kross (Us) + Imperial State Electric Till Debaser Malmö Och Slussen 2012-10-17 16:15 CEST REDD KROSS (US) + IMPERIAL STATE ELECTRIC TILL DEBASER MALMÖ OCH SLUSSEN Den 12 december kommer Redd Kross och Imperial State Electric till Debaser Slussen och den 14 december är det Malmös tur. Biljetterna släpps den 18 oktober. När familjeträdet har vattnats med blodet av blivande Black Flag-medlemmar och Bad Religion-dignititer så tog bröderna Jeff och Steve McDonald fanan och hissade den högt nog för att världen skulle ta notis om dem. Trots detta så fladdrade Redd Kross på halvstång under nästan hela sin karriär. Men de som höll bandet om hjärtat gjorde det med en värme som skulle matcha vilken lavaström som helst. Bröderna McDonald tog de initiala stegen redan '78 och skränade sin väg igenom tre ackord med en vi-emot-världen-attityd. Under 80-talet lade de grunden för kulten som omgärdat bandet sedan dess. Med osökta pärlor som den Tommy Ramone-producerade ”Neurotica” är det inte svårt att se varför Redd Kross är så älskade som de är. De gick från brötig tonårspunk med nerverna utan på jeansjackan till att bli power-pop-pionjärer med en förkärlek till popkultur. Och hela tiden var de bäst. Det har gått femton år sedan Redd Kross yppade ett enda ackord och med nya hyllade ”Researching The Blues” har det hittat hela vägen hem. Skivan är släppt på anrika Merge Records, ett faktum vi nämner för att du som läser detta vet vad detta innebär. Guld, högst upp på pallen, vi alla ler. IMPERIAL STATE ELECTRIC Sen det självbetitlade debutalbumet släpptes har bandet avverkat dom flesta stora festivalerna, spelat support till både Guns n’Roses och Kiss, turnerat Sverige tillsammans med Bruket, och dessutom hunnit med att släppa EPn ”In Concert” innehållandes livefavoriter inspelade i studion. 2012 släppte de album nummer två, POP WAR, innehållande 10 låtar inspelade i Gutterview Studios i Stockholm. Nicke Andersson - arkitekten, smeden och hjärnan bakom Imperial State Electric - har tillsammans med Datsuns Dolf de Borst på bas, Thomas Eriksson (ex Captain Murphy) på trummor och Tobias Egge från The Objects på gitarr gjort årets bästa skiva. Weirdly enough we ran into Dylan Carlson and the rest of Earth who were getting ready to fly to New Zealand for their first ever tour down under. They said they had no working papers and just tourist visas. Good luck! I told them about the time New Zealand customs officials ruined two of my guitar cases by tearing all of the lining out of them looking for drugs and when they found none, simply shoved the now useless mess back to me and told me to beat it. The Earth people seemed a bit concerned but marched onto the plane anyway. I’m sure everything will be fine once they get there….
